Still a better game than some of the gooseberry fool that's been released on Steam recently.

It's really quite good. If you are into Pigeons.

Has reviewed very well.

CSGO server is now up, with a 10 player limit. I realise we probably need more, but I'll figure it out tomorrow evening.

You can get a head start on downloading the maps by subscribing hereand having steam download them for you. Or you can just join and it will do it map by map as the server rotates.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Played a bit more DR3. Got to the main area and the framerate has gone to pot. Varying from 60 down to 35, sometimes somewhat understandably and sometimes utterly randomly. In an hour it also crashed to desktop twice. After all the streaming they did on twitch without any problems I thought this would be fine

We need more maps for the 9/11 event.

Here's what we have so far: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =310007782

We need more though, scour the workshop for maps that could be connected and post them.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Dead Rising 3 has pretty much confirmed to me that my PC is most definitely at the point where it needs a substantial upgrade.
I'm not sure what to upgrade first though. I think my CPU is probably the one in most need of a boost as it's the one I've had in it since I got it 5 years ago, while the GPU was upgraded around the time of Battlefield 3. I'll probably need a new motherboard as well and how does that affect my windows installation?

Any thoughts on what I should go for? Bearing in mind I'm chronically skint and will probably have to ask for these as Christmas and/or birthday presents.

Current Spec:

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition (3.0GHz, 125W)
Radeon HD 6790
8192MB 800 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [4x2048]
1TB (7200rpm) Serial ATA/100 Hard Drive

I wouldn't concern yourself to much with Dead Rising 3. It's a shitty port according to the pc performance thread on gaf. Wait for it too go really cheap or just pirate it if you must. I'm not going to spend money on a game that's has piss poor performance issues that you see time and time again with many console ported titles. It's a joke really.

Oh I know it's a shite port. I was able to get through the intro section fairly well, with everything turned to low and getting about 25fps but as soon as I got to the actual city the frame rate dipped to single figures, making it utterly unplayable.

It's definitely time for an upgrade though. If I can get my CPU and GPU done over Christmas and my Birthday it means I'll hopefully have a rig that can cope with the Rift when it, hopefully, launches later next year.
