I've only downloaded SuperHot so far and that has it's own startup shortcut. Not tried it yet but maybe you only need the client for downloading?

Working through Spec Ops at the mo. I still find it to be one of the most interesting games in years. It's got more in common with indie games like Undertale than Gears or CoD really. Even the main strawberry floating menu man.

Good stuff.

Thank christ, the disastrous Chrono Trigger port from a month back is getting patches to fix issues:

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all of your feedback, patience and support so far.

We have been working on addressing the issues that you’ve raised, and will be releasing a number of patches over the coming months as we continue to support CHRONO TRIGGER on Steam.

We’re aiming to release the first of these patches in the first half of April, and the biggest change is that it will include an option to switch between the current high-resolution graphics, and the original graphical style of CHRONO TRIGGER.

We’ll post a full list of changes here when the first patch is released. For now, be assured that we’re working very hard on adjusting, updating and supporting CHRONO TRIGGER on Steam.

As CHRONO TRIGGER is going to receive patches over the coming months, we are going to extend the availability of the Limited Edition until:
5PM, April 30th BST / 9AM, April 30th PDT

Thanks again from all of us on the CHRONO TRIGGER team.

Really hope this is a sign of things to come with Square's Japanese PC releases, which often get no post release support when they badly need it (FF5-6, Nier Automata etc). Wouldn't surprise me if a truckload of Steam refunds lead to them taking action, hooray for pro consumer practices :D

So I tried playing Crusader Kings II, start it up and it recommends a tutorial. I think "ok that sounds reasonable" so I start with that, but instead of a tutorial it's just pop-up boxes with information on them whenever you click on something, so I have no direction on what the hell to do. :?

Aye the tutorial is shite. I ended up spending about 20 hours watching a tutorial series on YouTube, then decided the game wasn't for me after about 40 minutes. :fp:

I tried the tutorial, and there are some scripted events in it that are there to teach you what to do, but because it also lets you do whatever else, it's possible to break it completely. I got my army involved in another conflict before the scripted rebellion happened, and my army got beaten, and so I had no forces to combat the rebellion with, so it just sat there, with nothing happening.

I couldn't even read the text in the tutorial as its strawberry floating tiny, I uninstalled it about 2 years ago and have no desire to ever try it again.

I found the game utterly impenetrable, same applies to Blood Bowl.

Dead Rising 4 is part of this month's Humble monthly bundle. Damn good for $12 plus a few other games.

Does anyone have any experience with mixed reality headsets?

There seems to be a fair amount of compatability with steam games, and the price is significantly cheaper than the Occulus rift or the Vive...

I wanted to try it at the Microsoft store today, but they couldn't get the controller to work. :fp: PC gaming eh? :simper:

Playing Cities Skylines, and I'm really liking these new radio stations. I know it's a tiny addition but listening to GoldFM, reminds me of the songs I used to listen to with my dad when I was a kid in the car. Good times. Also I really like the fake ads.

It is difficult keeping up with your Steam collection, even if free. I try to categorise mine which means there is one section that is never likely to get played.

Possibly not the right thread to post this in, but hopefully someone can help me.

Bought a pre-bought machine a couple of years ago, but two children and having that sort of machine don't really mix now. Going to change up to a laptop / macbook going forward but was going to get rid of the rig.

Any idea what prices I'd get on this if I sold it

HP ENVY 700-230ea ( Prebuilt: Components Below )
Intel i7 4770 @ 3.4GHz
16GB RAM
3TB HDD
500w PSU

3 x HP Pavilion xi23 Monitor

Blue Yeti Mic
Razer Deathadder Chroma
Razer Blackwidow Chroma
Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma USB

Why would you buy a MacBook even if you don't want to play videogames?
