Yeah just did it, I almost picked up the Witness for £15 in the last sale, but throw in Nuclear Throne and 38 other games (Though I own 12) and it is worth it, plus its for Charity!

Oh and while we are talking bundles

Tricky Towers for £1 is a steal!

I know :dread:

I forget it records the mirrored gameplay on the monitor, not what's in the headset. I have the screen set to the lowest results it'll let me to get more performance.

What's mirrored on the monitor is usually what's in the headset, except just one eye (there's an option to pick which eye, or have it show both eyes side-by-side). Some games do a separate render for the monitor, but usually it's just graphically simple games that can get away with that while managing 90fps in the headset.

Hmmmmmm maybe I've got it wrong then. Still doesn't look like that normally.

Normally? Like, in the headset? It probably just seems wider to you because it kind of is wider, only split across two different screens in the headset. Also you're turning your head to look around so you don't consider the aspect ratio to be as limited.

Your other VR recordings are definitely in a 16:9 ratio, maybe you've changed your resolution to a 4:3 one.

Those look like they're just cropped down from the 10:9 single eye view. So what's more important? The resolution not looking like gooseberry fool (from cropping and stretching to fit 16:9), or not having a wonky aspect ratio?

Ironhide was right, it was set toa 4:3 for some reason. And it's definitely a screen res independent of the headset because i just tried it several times.

Got one great new video. Got another great race and the geeforce experience recorded the desktop again, strawberry floating thing.

Edit: they're both videos of the desktop. strawberry float sake.

I tried it last night and refunded it. I don't want my desktop background engaging GFE. Ever.

It only does that if youve set GFE to capture your desktop. You can turn that off. It only cost me 2 quid, and having some gorgeous pixel art moving backgrounds as my wallpaper is more than worth it :D

Got a link to the one you use? For 2 squid I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Wait never mind, is it wallpaper studio 10 on the windows store?

I don't have that setting on, though. Some wallpapers showed GFE's framerate overlay but some didn't. Didn't seem to be related to whether it used 3D visuals or interactivity either. And I use GameStream all the time, so when the service already thinks there's a game running that will mess with it.

If anyone wants to go to the PC Gamer Weekender at Kensington Olympia this weekend but doesn't want to pay you can enter the promo codes SATURDAYWINNER or SUNDAYWINNER when ordering tickets for each day respectively to get in for free.

I'm going on Sunday, anyone else in the area want an impromptu London PCGT meetup?

Got a decent PC again recently and have been re-discovering my Steam library. Have plenty on my wishlist for the next sale (Easter?) as well. :datass:

As an aside, does anyone know what the Steam version of Final Fantasy IV-IX are like? Any issues with dodgy ports, DRM issues, etc?

VI is the Mobile version, and doesn't look as good as the SNES version. I used a few mods to sort it though. Not sure on any of the others.

I used some mods to increase the framerate of VII and it was quite enjoyable to play. It's on my list of games to finish one day. Maybe.

Sounds like FFIV (and presumably V) are ports of the iOS/Android versions as well.

Super Dragon, do you know if FFVII is pretty much the original PC release? Or did they touch it up, like the PS4 version?

£16 for GTA V and £2-odd for Ryse, which is nice considering I missed out on it in one of the Humble Monthly Bundles, both from Gamersgate. Don't mind if I do.
