Damn the new Metro game looks pretty good, but there's no way those are in game animations...

I have this on Pre-order and would love to tell you to have faith in the visuals but we've all been conned by prerelease videos.
I'm playing through Metro Last Light Redux now and loving it so even if there is a visual downgrade I think the game is solid enough that it'll be enjoyable anyway.

I don't know how you are with old/ugly/janky games but just stick with Stalker even if you initially think it's a load of wank. SoC is one of my favourite games ever and even I've bounced off it a few times when going back to it due to it's seeming ugliness or total lack of fairness. Just persevere. Though maybe you'll love it straight away!

Imagine Fallout 3/4 but not boring as strawberry float and with better combat.

When does the Steam sale start?

21st December.

I haven't uninstalled Stalker since getting it the week it was first released on disc. I bought it on Steam when it was released there as I didn't wish to mess about with discs.

Stalker is never not worth a bash. Start with Shadow of Chernobyl, skip Clear Sky, then Call of Pripyat. Download the SoC/CoP Complete mods for both and enjoy.

I don't understand why people bash Clear Sky so much, it was the first Stalker game I played and I loved it. The only really bad part I can remember about it was the ending being kind of crappy and it bugged several times.

I've been trying to play Stalker Clear Sky the last few weeks (Fully modded), and am really struggling.

It just doesn't feel like a Stalker game. I think for the reasons stated above. I'm constantly being badgered to defend here, or attack there and there does't feel like an actual opportunity to go out and explore on my own. It reminds me a bit of GT4 and the annoying "Hey Nico, let's go play darts" parts.

Also I really don't like the Swamp starting area. No where near as interesting as the boat or Farm from the other 2 games.

Also, Fallout 4 VR made me very very sick.

Never suffered before in any other game. but 10-15 minutes and I was having hot flushes and thought I was going to puke.

I think I'm also pissed off with myself for paying £40 for this when Ive put almost 200 hours into the original. I think I will ask for a refund and then buy when on a sale as I think the lack of discount for people that already own FO4 for what in essence is a mod is a pisstake.

Looks really nice though for a VR game.

Cheers troops, always wanted to play them but didn't have the hardware back in the day. I'm currently playing Deus Ex Human Revolution and enjoying it so don't think I'll have any problems with aging.

Incidentally the 3 game bundle is £2.18 here

Seen someone on Steam saying not to buy from there as it installs an updated version incompatible with some mods or something.

Kinguin is dodgy as strawberry float and sells keys bought with stolen credit cards like G2A, don't buy from them.

Baphomet 1 and Baphomet 3 mod for Arma 3. Horror survival coop mod.

Who's interested? I love slow paced exploration in coop, I also like those sweet intense seconds of firefighting frenzy that Arma 3 seems to be good at delivering.

Story:
The portal to hell has opened to earth's realm. For ten years light has been absent from earth and the human race is dying. Our only hope for salvation is the Knights Templar. A tactical group of holy warriors who serve the cross believed to be extinct. The quest to destroy true evil begins tonight.

It's on the steam workshop. I downloaded all the other PCS recommended mods for Arma 3 already :D

The best Final Fantasy, IX, is currently on sale for £7.99 on the Square Enix store, along with a load of other shite.

Is this the real life, is this just fantasy?

I've been playing too much Twilight Struggle. I woke up this morning needing a wee but, in my sleepy daze of only being half awake, I kept thinking of my bladder in terms of influence. It only had one US influence but I wanted to control it so I couldn't waste precious OPs going to the toilet in case USSR took control.

I'm glad this was free. I've had to restart the tutorial mission twice because it bugged and wouldn't trigger the next stage of the mission, leaving me unable to progress. Doesn't bode well at all.

That doesn't work, fear-less might have been better.

I didn't even realise it was a play on words.
