I was always rubbish, so it'll make little difference in my case.

I've set up a PC Supremacy discord server. Honestly I'm not on mumble anymore, because a) I can't be bothered loading it up and b) I'm always on a discord with my friends in the evening, but if people join a discord then I'm far more likely to pop in from time to time.

If you want an invite, I'll PM you one.

You can get quite a lot in a small case, for example:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/titan-khukuri-mini-itx-gaming-pc-intel-core-i3-i5-i7-fs-089-og.html#t=a2b2d4

That's essentially the PC I bought last year, I opted for an i5 and 1060 in the Fractal node case but the default config isn't too shabby if you don't want to break the bank.

Edit: that link isn't the default config btw.

Kiezer, the scripts should still exist on the server. At least they did last time I checked. I forget what the mod is called, SourceMod or something along those lines, and the scripts live in the cfg folder in there.

I think the discord is a good idea. I tend not to sit on mumble anymore as its not convenient but I am on discord basically all of the time so its handy to organise things that way, and then we can migrate over to mumble to play.

Any experts on DisplayPort here? I have a GTX 750ti card which is fine but a few months back, I tried to replace it with a 1050ti. Once it had updated itself with the drivers, the screen either wouldn't come on or would flicker on and off. The PC is also connected to my TV through HDMI and that suffered no such problem. Assuming the card was faulty (came from CEX) I took it back and got a refund. Today I've picked up another 1050ti from a difference CEX (and different card) and had exactly the same issue - problem through DisplayPort but OK through HDMI on my TV. I don't think it is my monitor (using DisplayPort connection) because it works fine with my 750ti. After some internet searches, I found something for a different issue, enabling DisplayPort 1.2 on the monitor. I've now done this and so far, the display has been stable. Could this be an actual fix rather than it just strawberry floating with me and the problem coming back later? Anyone here use DisplayPort and experienced similar issues?

Yes?

Bastion is £1.72 on Gamersgate. It has good reviews on Steam so I've taken a punt.

Been playing Ryse son of rome today. Only put it on to see the graphics but I'm actually really enjoying it. It's like a whole game of just batman fights.

Double executions

I'm considering getting a 4gb 1050ti, they're less than £140 and would double the vram i currently have on my 2gb 770. I don't have a 4k anything so would happily save the extra hundred to be more solid at 1080p.

This is what I have. Any reason you want this as I think there are better performing cards for not much more. I have this card due to power limitations of my PSU/motherboard. Having said that though I can so far play everything at max settings at 1080p, although I do have an 8 core Xeon as my CPU and 20GB RAM which also probably share some of the load.

Well its double the vram for not too much and i have no love for ATi. I know that going for a 1060 6gb is the best value in the long term but its still a hefty wedge to drop in one go.

What about the 1060 3GB? That is only around £40 more than the 1050ti.

This is pretty much the same performance score wise as the 1060 3GB. I know which one I'd have.

The free one.

I don't want to spend nearly £200 for 1gb of extra vram.
