I assume 24GB while a lot isn't considered ultra outrageous but has memory had any massive leaps in the last years?

I think most people speccing a PC will go with 16GB, but I don't think there are any games that need more than 8GB.

Sorry, I obviously meant ram :fp: .
I should have known that as I posted the message  .

Reading it back it was a really piss poorly worded question :fp: .

Is that just counting the video ram or all available?

Downloaded Lawbreakers, gave it a go and didn't even finish the match. What a load of dog gooseberry fool.

Finally finished Dark Souls 2. Only bothered finishing 1 out of 3 of the DLCs as I just wanted to finish it after 40 hours. Think I'll give it a break before I start DS3.

Now as soon as these unskippable credits end I'm gonna fire up Rising Storm 2 Vietnam for my first go :datass:

I've got 32gb of ram in my pc, perhaps overkill for gaming at the moment but future proofs it a bit plus it's good for design work and music recording.

If you are talking PC's then I have never seen anyone refer to memory as a system pool like they do with consoles. I have 16GB RAM and 11GB VRAM. I would have preferred 32/64GB RAM but it appears DDR4 has shot up to obscene prices this year.

I forgot how sastisfying it is to kill people in Rising Storm. Seeing them fall out of sight behind your muzzle flash after a successful burst of rounds is just amazing. I got the drop on three GI's and three bursts later, they were all dead on the ground. Not receiving a prompt confirming the kill until a few seconds after the deed just makes it all feel so tense and rewarding. Not many people laying down covering fire last night though.

Some older PCs have shared memory where they have no dedicated GPU, but that is probably the closest to what Peter is asking. Peter - when people talk about memory on the PC they are normally talking about system memory. So if asked I would say I have 20GB. Video memory is on a separate card which I only have 4GB of, so on paper I have twice what the Scorpio has.

I've bought a new pair of headphones for my parents as the "leather" wrapping on the ear cups of the old ones they had was peeling off and every time you took them off it would look like you had bubonic plague of the ears.

I got them this...

https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gam ... rds=HyperX

And I have to say these are really good, I bought them for only $59 though.

Here are the positives:
+ Excellent sound (although I'm no audiophile so take this with a pinch of salt)
+ All metal headband so they feel very sturdy
+ Detachable Mic
+ Braided 2 part cable

The cable is made of two separate parts. The part that comes out of the headset is about about 1 metre long and is a single 3.5mm audio jack, however there is an extension that splits into two parts, one for audio in and one for mic in on a pc. So you could have the extension plugged into the back of your computer and then if you want to use your headphones somewhere else you just disconnect the headphones from the extension and you are ready to go.

The only down side which I think will improve with time is that they feel a bit snug, maybe because the headband is metal, or maybe because my head is rather large.

Is anyone here playing that Battlegrounds game? I'm quite interested after watching a stream the other day, but wondering if anyone here had any thoughts after playing it.

It's good fun however there are issues with Lag especially on euro servers however they are trying to work out where the lag is coming from, thee game can be a bit buggy as well but it's £22 on cdkeys so worth a punt.

So there's a bug in the PC version of Vanquish.

Damage is tied to your frame rate for some reason, so the higher your frame rate the more damage you take.

Do we have a Discord server? I know about the Mumble stuff but that seems mainly to be CS:GO based.
