Same. On my gtx1080 it would be nice and smooth then suddenly stutter every now and then. Since the patch this has got noticeably worse.

That's not a remake of the Titanic game from the late 90s is it?

Rats, that would have been neat. Looks cool though.

Random question, what's a good "quiet" mechanical keyboard go for these days? Finding the Razer Blackwidow I got a few months ago is just the loudest thing.

Isn't it down to the 'colour' of the switches, or is that just feel?

Colour affects the switch mechanism which includes both sound and feel. Sound can be dulled slightly by using o-rings but this also changes feel.

All switches are noisy, blues tend to be very loud. Reds not so bad. Others fit in between. But they both feel totally different so depends what you want. Most keyboard places will sell you a demo board for a few quid which has one of each keyswitch on it so you can see which you prefer.

I use blues for typing at work and reds for playing at home, at the moment.

Not been a PC gamer for many years and looking for some opinions from those in the know. I have a Dell PowerEdge T20 and I'm considering investing in it to open up what is available on the PC. It has a Pentium G3220 (dual core and clock speed of 3Ghz) which has a PassMark of 3180. I'm looking at getting a GTX 750ti (2GB) graphics card which is the best you can put in it due to power/motherboard limitations and also upgrading the memory from 4GB to 16GB. My question is, if I do this will I be getting similar performance to the PS4 or XBO? I'm not looking to play games in 4K, just 1080p.

Yes?

I'd also recommend getting a SSD as your primary drive if you don't have one already. There's some 950 cards that only need power from the pcie port aren't there?

I already have an SSD, but only 120GB and used for the OS and Office. Have to be careful with the GPU, I'll have a look to see what else is available, but I've read that the 750ti is the best you can use on the T20.
What is the GPU in the XBO and PS4 equivalent to PC wise?

*edit* 950 cards seem to need 350 watt minimum vs 300 for the 750ti I'm looking at (PSU is only 290 watt but people with the same machine say it is fine).

Possibly both,

RPS: You have a lot of IPs, of course, some of which we haven’t seen for a long time.
Post: We have different initiatives around the older Sega IPs. The Megadrive Collection is one of those, for the people who want to play retro games. But then we have games like Shenmue, which was pretty much at the top of every list of titles that people wanted to see revived. We have more though and we’re constantly looking at them.
We have some great IPs coming out next year and we’ll have announcements toward the end of this year about some of those. New versions of old games.

Ahh, yeah I'd go with your original idea then.

Also, it's very difficult to say one GPU is equivalent to the consoles due to port quality. There is a certain AMD chip set the architecture is similar to, I forget which one, but the consoles out perform it as you would expect due to the pros of developing for an exact spec.

Mostly better performance but nothing to shout about. Digital Foundry had a period where they wrote loads of articles on the 750Ti so it's worth looking them up.

Also, check your PSU to see if you've got any spare power connectors for a GPU. They often don't.

The card I'm looking at is by EVGA and doesn't need any extra power connector, all drawn from the slot.

Finally ordered my new PC, cost slightly more than I'd expected as the GPU I originally wanted had sold out and the alternative was a few quid more, plus I opted for 16GB RAM instead of 8.

Case
Fractal Node 304 (black)

Power Supply
Super Flower 450W 80+ Bronze Rated PSU

Motherboard
Asus H110i-Plus (Socket 1151) Mini ITX Motherboard

CPU
Intel Core i5-6600 3.30GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - Retail

Memory
Kingston HyperX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC-19200C15 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red

Graphics Card
OCUK GTX 1060 Reference Version 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Primary Solid State Drive / Hard Drive
Samsung 250GB 850 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps Solid State Drive

Secondary Mechanical Hard Drive
Seagate 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache HDD - OEM (ST2000DM001)

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

£980

No more new PCs for a few years now, honest.

Just played some rust and I'm quite enjoying it, it looks better with today's graphical update.

It's quite good fun. Get in touch with staydead and he can give you the details of some people we play with. It's a lot better in a group so you can split up some of the more tedious chores. Also makes doing loot runs on big structures safer. And you are able to properly raid people.
