The new skybox looks gooseberry fool but overall impressive amount of modding there, deffo like some of the improvements in that video.

I don't want to derail the Scorpio thread, but Pedz mentioned a steam controller. Tell me about this and whether I need it.....

Yes?

Its a controller with two trackpads made by valve as part of a seemingly abandoned drive for console-like pc's for the living room. you don't need it; a 360 or xbone pad will do the job fine.

I use a PS4 controller which also does the job fine. Just curious what it was all about. I do have a 360 controller handy, is the dongle worth getting? The PS4 controller is wired at present.

There's rumours of an update happening to it this year too, I think.

If that happens then you might as well buy the Steam controller 2 because you know it's the last one Valve will release.

The Steam Controller is my controller of choice for most of my PC games :toot: It's fantastic in a range of games, including Dark Souls III, The Stick of Truth and Killing Floor 2.

It is really nice but that time to learn how to use it effectively when you have been using other ones can be frustrating.

Playing Killing floor on a pad? Let me just go throw up.

You can get them for £40 in GAME stores. The trackpads are fantastic and easily justify any time that you spend getting used to the controls or tinkering with them.

I really want one, but I'm too paranoid there'll be a hardware revision coming soon.

The touchpad stuff is nice but the face buttons are too small, the shoulder buttons are shite and the triggers have almost no throw so they aren't much good for racing games. Theres plenty of room for improvement.

All I've heard re: the Steam controller is bad stuff. The touch pads aren't as accurate as either thumbsticks for console type controls, nor mouse for PC controls. It's just a bit of a mess, apparently.

It really is. The Xbox 360 controller is so much better in pretty much every way.

I use the Steam controller and I have no issues, its just a bit different to other pads so you need to give it some time and get used to it.

Death's Head you should keep your eye on https://isthereanydeal.com for cheap games, and if you plan to buy one, compare on there first. Also as Dragon told me get enhanced steam for your browser.
