Not owning Binary Domain should be a bannable offence really.

I don't know. I can see that a lot of people in the GRcade steam group own it, but most have played it for less than an hour, if at all. Plus, although I've heard people rave about it, I go on the Steam store page, and see those screenshots. Third person space marine action shooter :dread:

What's actually supposed to be good about it again? It's not another Bad Rats, is it?

EDIT: Also, Soma looks good, but I assume it's completely unrelated to Brave New World, right?

I just tried out the demo, and I don't see it. It plays pretty poorly. I had to exit the game each time I wanted to tweak the mouse sensitivity, or any other setting for that matter. Are you supposed to play with a microphone, as well? I couldn't work out what was going on when I was supposed to respond with voice commands, and I think the game kept picking up background noise and thinking it was me talking. I tried turning audio input off in the settings, but it carried on picking stuff up. The settings menu only seems to pick up the integrated graphics on my CPU, rather than my graphics card, too.

My PC is seriously on it's last legs, it won't boot up about 80% of the time. I plug it in (because of the way my room is I have to unplug it when I go to sleep as otherwise the bed isn't flush against the wall), then I need to wait a few minutes before booting it up, then it starts to boot, and then just dies as if someone pulled the plug out, then if I'm lucky it restarts properly.

If I boot it up right after plugging it starts to boot up but then it just dies and doesn't respond anymore, pushing the power button does nothing, I have to either unplug it and re-plug it in, or flip the switch on the power supply.

Before if I waited long enough, about 10min it would always boot up, but now this time seems to be getting longer and longer, so I just resort to trying to find that golden time, where it dies and then re-boots.

Problem is I know there will be a lot of stuff on sale if I wait until November and Black Friday. :(

The local damage to robots and larger enemies get very good. It's not a long game. The dystopian theme is barely resolved but that's nice too. The narrative also changes a bit depending on who you pair with - the arcs split off.

You can pretty much ignore the voice commands if you want. Actually I think I played the entire game on PS3 with no microphone.

It's probably not a great port, I'd use a controller.

Well now I don't know what to believe. I guess it's onto the wishlist with both of them and wait for a sale.

JC2 is £2.49 on Green Man Gaming for today only.

If you're still interested JC3 is eight quid

Got a mechanical keyboard today. They're very noisy for writing long messages aren't they? Makes overwatch a lot more playable though.

Good.
Just saying "Well it's against our terms and conditions and we've sent out some letters telling people to stop" isn't good enough.

Sprays are back in CSGO....but are bought/dropped items which have finite uses and fade away after about 7 minutes.

I fully expected something like this and am surprised they hadn't done it sooner. I guess they need more money now skin gambling is done.

Just started Shadow Of Mordor and it seems to run well on my PC with the exception of one thing, screen tearing. Did anyone else find this very noticeable? When I tried it out on my PC monitor I didn't really notice it but when I played on my 42" TV then it became very noticeable. I've tried enabling vsync, setting FPS to 30 and even reducing the resolution, but nothing seems to make any difference. Any suggestions?

I've run the benchmark option and this showed average FPS as 59.06, max as 106.07 and minimum as 36.88 so I assume my PC is good enough to run the game.

Disable v-sync in game and force through graphics control panel instead. You can also use a little program called D3DOverider which comes with the program rivertuner to force vsync externally from the game. Similar to if you did it through your graphics control panel.

I did a search on Google and found this advice. This made a massive improvement. Also found that alt-tabbing out of the game and back in again is supposed to make an improvement.

I guess this is the part where they start removing the fun parts of their games.
