Sod the router just buy your own, that markup is gonna be insane unless this house is the size of a small commercial building with like 20 offices.

£8K :dread: 100m CAT6 is about £30, wall plates are about £5 each, a patch panel/switch for home use you'd struggle to pay more than £200 for. In total without the plastering costs it wouldn't cost much more than £300 to DIY.

My house is a oldish 40's build and after recently decorating, chasing cables wasn't really an option so I went for some beading that hides cables better than trunking up walls and stuff:

If you have wood or laminate flooring it's great for hiding ethernet cables, also a HDMI cable I have running to the back of the room for my projector.

Ve vill take back ze means of production!!!11

Kezzer, send me a PM tomorrow to remind me and I'll talk to you about this. If you want to put games on the server I'm happy for you to do so.

Request:

If anyone has some video clips of the PCS/GRcade/Mumble crew playing some sweet PC games - would you mind sending me some?

I came across a load of CS:S clips that I had recorded and a good few of them are quite amusing, was thinking of making a compilation video of sorts / highlights of yesteryear

If you have stuff or Ideas gimme a PM. :toot:

Cheers.

I have some clips from rising storm of cuttooth making winkle or stugene rage hard by setting them on fire, over and over again. (They were on the same team)

I just saw this, and thought it was interesting:

Frame timing wasn't something I was really aware of before, and this at least helps explain why some games I play look much more juddery, even at higher framerates, than others. Does anyone on here use Rivatuner, or anything similar?

Also, that Youtube channel is great. There's a series of videos about "The Potato Masher", a $375 PC built in 2014 to compete against the PS4, and he regularly posts comparrison videos of multiplatform games to see how the two stack up, or just what a PC of that budget can achieve.

I use Rivatuner's RTSS to cap my framerate in certain games. Along with MSI afterburner and Nvidia Inspector, it's like one of the essential programs imo for a pc gamer.

My mistake, It was staydead raging at being set on fire at the same time you shot Winkle. War truly is hell.

A heads up. I can't edit, so all videos I have made are gooseberry fool.
