So where are these sales that are going to rape my wallet? My wallet laughs at your weak wills.

The Stalker series is just over £8, American truck simulator is £10 and change. Life is strange episode 1 is free, the full game is £4. Infinifactory is less than £10. Dino D-Day is 69p. It all depends on what you are looking for.

How the strawberry float had Dino D-Day got such good reviews? It was a pile of gooseberry fool when I played it last.

Impulse buys - things I've already bought like Shadow of Mordor for £3, This War of Mine for £3, Ryse for £4 and that golf game for $1. Those prices have spoilt me so now I want big releases for a fiver or no deal.

strawberry floating hell, now the Vive is £100 off this weekend only NEW which takes it to £9 more than I paid for the stolen/missing one, and it comes with free games.

Spent all day looking at keyboards, mechanical ones, cheap ones, wireless midrange standard ones. Ended up getting a £10 Logitech because most of the expensive gaming ones I saw looked tacky/hideous. That being said I probably will end up getting a K70 RGB Strafe after the holidays, but I'm not paying like 120+ quid for one. If it hits around 100 or less I'll consider. This logitech seems pretty good though, doesn't light up or is mechanical, but a new keyboard is always a nice feeling, cheap or not :s

Steelseries are nice and minimal. Still hideously expensive though

Have you played elite before. Update us with your progress. Can probably describe it in one line for the first 4 hours.

Should be great with the Vive if you ever get it. You need a direction in the game though. I really enjoyed milling around doing not much in particular, a lot like Euro Truck. I should get back into it.

Spent this evening configuring and tinkering to start to use my monitor properly is I'd only played with the Vive until tonight.

Dat 144hz :datass: God damn that makes a difference. Fired up elite, put everything as high as it would go with 4x internal rendering/down sampling and it didn't break a sweat. Then I got the vive out and holy gooseberry fool it's so immersive. Dogfighting is incredible. I've currently got my hotas plonked on the desk so I'm going to look at mounting it to my playseat, which should mean I get comfy pilots chair and controls in space, then I can use the wheel and pedals to drive the rover when on the planets.

I'm going to say probably not - to get the absolute most out of it you'll need to be constantly and consistently hitting over 120fps which for a 2gb card may be a tall order.

Yeah I have a 760 and don't get the full benefit, I still run at 120hz for the time being as I get 70-80FPS on newer games. Need a new GPU.

I brought Planet Coaster yesterday and it's love <3

Thanks chaps. So with that in mind, what sort of monitor should I be looking at for my card? I currently have a 1080p monitor, but it is pretty old (must be 6 or so years) and I'm sure there have been advancements that would make gaming on it more enjoyable. I would also want built in speakers.
