I have the controller too, I've noted it much but for games I have I've not spent much time playing to get it working well and you can chop and change in game. The menu for editing mappings is very nice and you can pull premade maps too so it isn't so bad.

Out of curiosity, how do you have your Link connected to the internet?

Yeah, it just sits there on my LAN but is off all the time unless I'm using it as the Steam Controller wakes it from sleep nicely.

I tried mine over wireless, might try connecting it to the router directly see how much of a difference it makes. Managed to play through Refunct last night without any real streaming issues but that's a very basic game graphically.

I tried wireless and it was a bit gooseberry fool, better if I set stream quality to fast instead of balanced it is ok ish but yeah cable is much better.

Is your desktop PC also connected to the router? Connecting my Steam Link directly to the router wouldn't be too awkward but to my PC would be a bit of a pain. Wonder if Powerlines are an option.

Yeah it is, I have ethernet running from my living room to office and gigabit switches in place so I can cable anything I want to cable, I tried the laptop on Wireless and it worked OK when I turned the quality down of the stream. Would have been OK if I was on the 5GHZ wifi but I was just out of range so was on the 2.4ghz wifi which is slower.

I was going to pick up Assassin's Creed Syndicate to test out my 1070 but I decided to finish Arkham Knight first. I've barely played so it should last until Syndicate goes on sale again, even if that's not until summer. My only addition to my previous haul is:

I picked up a few games this time around.

Batman Arkham Knight Premium Edition
Clustertruck
Inside
Oxenfree
Pony Island
Project Highrise
The Witness

I stumped up for the Witness in the end, because although I'm not sure why a line puzzle game would be worth £15, I've heard nothing but great things about it, so thought it would be worth a chance. There have been a few games recently that I've dismissed initially, and then tried after reading loads of gushing praise, only to enjoy them, so I hope this is the same.

No idea when I'll actually get around to playing any of these, mind. I'm still trying to find time to finish Watch Dogs 2.

It's interesting to see No Man's Sky made it into the top 12 grossing games on Steam this past year. Alongside some big hitters like GTA V and Fallout 4, and microtransaction packed games like CSGO and DOTA 2. I wonder if it includes all the refunds, as well?

I've played less than an hour of The Witness but it seems clear that people love it because it leaves you to work out how to solve puzzles and apply what you learn to other puzzles on the island. Saying that something is the Dark Souls of a certain genre feels clichéd but the autonomy that you are given really makes me feel that The Witness is the Dark Souls of puzzle games. There are no instructions so it's up to you to work out a solution through careful thought which gives you huge feelings of satisfaction as you really feel like you found the answer instead of being nudged towards it by some text. Wrapping them all up in a game that look beautiful makes me excited to play more :toot:

For anyone who likes twin stick shooters (top down style), you can't really go wrong with I Am Weapon at 98p!

Did some totals of my spend for last year, seems I sold just shy of £50s worth of pixels on steam, not too shabby. There were a couple of CS:Crates in there to boost it along, but still a solid return. Though probably a lot of the bundles I buy were supplying the cards, so maybe not as good as I think

New CPU in and can now play Dead Rising 3 at 1080p with max settings. Ran a frame test and it is running at a solid 30fps, which is what the PC version is capped at.

Think I'll look at a low powered GPU upgrade in the future, but CPU should now be good for several years.

I subscribed to the Humble Monthly Bundle for Vermintide so I'm very excited :toot: to see that Trails in the Sky is one of the other great games added to it. During the Steam sale, I nearly bought TitS but I decided that I'd (eventually) start one of the Ys games instead.

I'm excited :toot: I meant to pitch the idea while it was still possible to buy the bundle, in case more people wanted to join, but I forgot  I should check that I actually bought the bundle :slol:

I'll have to check, but I may have a spare Vermintide code. I shall have to check, and 1 from Mother Russia Bleeds.
