1080P easily all however 4k it can depend on the game and the settings. Xplane and dcs could make it chug and I'm sure there asre more.

For Honor is free on Uplay at the moment.

Isn't that just a case of poor optimization?

I think it'd do devs good to have longer hardware cycles, it'd be like the good old days when they had to squeeze every last bit of power from limited hardware rather than simply waiting for the yearly new GPU releases to come along and force gamers to continually upgrade.

True you don't want hardware cycles to be too quick, but my GTX 970 is approaching four years old and we've only had a single new generation since then. As someone who likes to upgrade on an "every other generation" cycle it's starting to get very drawn out!

I am trying the new Steam Beta, the chat is so much like Discord it is almost plagiarism. However that is a very good thing as is a huge upgrade over the current one. Really impressed so far, there are still a few bugs, however big thumbs up from me.
That said one of my friends is livid that the size of the text window is far larger than it used to be.

The Chat really does not fit in with the rest of the old steam client so it looks quite out of place. Hopefully it is not too long until they roll out the whole thing, it has been far too long with this old client.

On top of that I know that there are publisher pages coming to the store perhaps as soon as next week (possibly for the steam sale) I hope they also go further and add franchise pages too.

I switched on the beta then promptly back off again. It's too in your face. Steam chat just now is good because it's so basic, and that's all I need it for. Discord is good for voice chat, but I can't be arsed with all the other pish.

I wouldn't say optimisation is the issue, just the fact that as flight sims you have a lot of systems as well as weather processing ect to deal with.

Haven't used Steam chat in years. Never used discord either. It's they're anything else new in the beta?

I gave this a try and it runs well on my relatively outdated PC - I stumped for the gold edition which is also heavily discounted too, guess that was their plan all along. Even though i've been getting battered, I can see why it's fun although the overarching war metagame thing still eludes me.

Just found out Disgaea 5 is getting a PC release, unfortunately they've delayed it to fix a game breaking bug.

If I stop posting later on this year, you'll know why.

True. Better fixed than not though.

I've played Disgaea 5 on Switch... it's great fun! There seems to be tons of depth to the game, too - I've only scratched the surface.

It's cool and quirky, Rax - good fun and a big challenge for folk who are into turn-based strategic battling. I liked what I played but I only dipped my toes in; it's a game that I'll need to go back to for a proper play-through
