and now for something completely different. I've got some holiday snaps of me and Mr Silly. We arrived together and by god we'll leave together.

Enjoying the attractions at the newly opened theme park.

Image

He had to go to the bathroom, but we found one eventually. The place is packed!

Image

Silly liked this ride, he got the top score about 4 times in a row. He was a little dizzy though.

Image

Slowly but surely, we got a bit fed up with the crowds. Mr Silly found some guns and said we should take action. I wasn't really as willing as him, but I thought I'd give it a shot for his sake. Got this cool photo taken of us before we went back out.

I've got some more holiday snaps, but they'll be developed in the future.

I loved Dead Rising, but didn't quite click with DR2. I'm wondering if I should skip it and go straight to DR2:OTR.

I only played OTR, but thought it was great.

I did treat it kind of like an extreme photography sim, though.

Well OTR is pretty much DR2 but with Frank West and photography. Go for OTR.

Thinking of getting this as a little project/proof of concept/toy to mess around with.

Image

Will be strapping that 120GB ssd I won to it and maybe a slimline bluray drive.

Working on the basis that it'll look like a set-top box or something, be completely silent, cheap, but a powerful media hub. Ill probably run Win7 on it and use network media or cloud services or something.

Tip for folks waiting on a Witcher deal: GOG is selling both games for US$17 total.

Have you tried XBMC lately? Looks damn good nowadays, very slick - it's also USB bootable should you want to run it occasionally along with your windows install.

Yes, Im well aware of XBMC and have plenty of hands on experience. I wanted to see how far I could comfortably go with a standard windows install and minimal software.
