Manny, I have spent six years battling clinical depression, and I have done training in mental health first aid. I'd say I'm in a pretty good position to empathise with those with mental illnesses that drive them to rock bottom. I've been there.

Is mental first aid one of the xmen powers?

Regardless of her lifestyle, how she died, its sad how a young woman with so potential, so much opportunity, died in such a pointless way leaving behind 2 kids who will never know their mum. Pointless apportioning blame.

I have plenty of empathy, but the moment I become weak enough to allow emotion instead of logic to rule me is the moment I fail as much as you.

You don't know every detail of my life, you barely know anything about me in the grand scheme of things, then you go and make grand assumptions and proclamations about me and my experiences. Yet you accuse me of having a low IQ. Don't be hating on me because i'm a stronger person than you, i'm sure you can find another reason instead.

time and again you have called out drug users for failing or some equal such gooseberry fool, yet you know nothing of their circumstance or situation

My brother got in a lot of trouble with drugs. Came within a gnat's bawhair of getting sent down at one point about three years ago.

I blame him and my parents for it - 65/35 split. For ages we thought the people he was hanging around with were a bad influence on him, but then we realised he was the bad influence.

He has now pulled himself clear and is taking his job seriously, has a lovely little girl and a supportive girlfriend. I credit him and his girlfriend for the turnaround, 75/25.


Obviously every case is different, but it was his actions and his choices that strawberry floated him up and nearly utterly destroyed his life. Thank strawberry float for one very lenient Crown Court judge.
