Person of Interest is an American crime drama television series created by Jonathan Nolan that premiered on September 22, 2011, on CBS.[1] The series revolves around John Reese (Jim Caviezel), a former CIA officer recruited by Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes in New York City. The series was renewed for a fourth season,[2] which premiered on September 23, 2014.[3]

What is it?

Think Watch Dogs the TV show but substantially better with a great recurring cast and ongoing main arc story.

Where can I watch it?

First two seasons are on Netflix, with the third presumably going up soon. Season 4 has just started in America.

This is probably my favourite 'current' tv show, although I only watch about 3 or 4. Smartly written, consistently engaging despite 20+ episodes and just goddamn entertaining.
I'm 2 seasons in.

4x03- Mostly a standard case of the week but there was some good banter. Fusco was incredibly giffable in this ep.

Never watched it, but is John Reese's name a rather thinly veiled Terminator reference?

I think his surname came about because 'Mr Reese' sounds awfully similar to 'mysteries', which is kinda the characters schtick, unknown past and all that.

Well the show's about artificial intelligence and Reese is basically a cross between a Terminator and Batman so probably.

My girllfriend christened this show 'Crap Batman' after she absolutely hated the pilot episode, but I persuaded her to stick with it and now she loves the show just as much as me. The name has stuck, though. 8-)
