It's more to do with an overall resurgence of the Japanese industry while Western gaming seems to be stagnating.

Zelda BOTW
Persona 5
Nioh
Nier: Automata
Resident Evil 7
Yakuza 0

Japan's been killing it lately!

This seems so expensive to preorder everywhere. Where is everyone preordering their copy? So close now! :toot:

Whilst still under embargo Podcast Beyond's Andrew Goldfarb gives a unofficial preview of the game and it is highly positive! He has put over 105 hours into the game and believes he has got the first English Platinum for the game (the trophies won't register until the turn on date which is likely to be just before launch.) He says 'I'm honestly convinced that mechanically there hasn't been a JRPG or any turn-based RPG this good in 20 years.'

'It is so stylish and aesthetically it's amazing and there are so many striking things about it but playing it mechanically it is such a strong game and so smart.'

The preview starts just after the introductions:

Moaned to Amazon about them not being competitive enough and now it's a good price, especially after prime discount.

Gameseek was well priced too but I've never shopped with them before. Might try them at some point.

Same here. I'm on rewaching the persona 4 anime and getting stupidly excited.

Apparantly it's playable at EGX rezzed but for the sake of a few days I might try and resist.

Theres a free theme on the EU PSN just now

Forgot I have the steel book version preordered on Amazon. I've still not completed Persona 4 Golden, hope the dungeons in this aren't as boring and repetitive as they are in that.

According to review the dungeons are a massive improvement over 4's procedurally generated ones.

Seems to have dropped a fair bit on Amazon. My order is now showing as £41.99. They thankfully seem to have changed the Steelbook art too, it looks much better now.

Quite fancied watching the Persona 4 Golden anime since I can't be arsed finishing the game. Saw it was on Crunchyroll and signed up for the free trial but it's the bloody subbed version :x

The Anime is not good.

I have the first few episodes on DVD somewhere if you want them. I'm never going to watch it.

Friend linked me to a site that has all the original episodes in English and in 720p. Apparently the Golden version didn't get an English dub, only subs.
