No. The plots of each game are disconnected entirely. There's a brief part in 4 where you visit the town that 3 is set in, but you don't need to have played 3 to follow what's going on even there. It's just basically an Easter egg to reference the previous game.

Ahh cool. I'll check out 4.

Nice. In an anime kind of way. But I'm not Staydead. ;)

Which one?
1 and 2? Yes.
3? Get the PS2 version of Persona 3 FES, it's much better.

strawberry float me, they're pricy on PSP.

..2 & 3 are not to cheap on PS2 either. Sought after then I take it?

Number 4 is going for about £18 brand new on Amazon. I'll happily pay that.

2 seems to be the most pricey on PSP.

3 can be gotten for pretty cheap on Amazon for the PS2 version, or it was only about £10 when I bought a new/sealed copy anyway. Don't bother with the PSP version, it's been gutted to get it running on PSP.

Persona 2 is the best of the PSP games. But Persona 4 is on a whole different level.

I need to finish Persona 4 Golden. Got right to before Rise's dungeon and just... stopped. No idea why, I was really enjoying it.

PostPersona 5 confirmed for PS3. Possible reveal at Tokyo Game S
by Venom » Tue Jul 29, 2014 5:01 pm

Image

After it’s brief appearance in a live streaming event some months ago, the fifth installment of the Persona series has seen no further updates. Aside from small quips from the development team, such as the confirmation of a high school setting and breaking the chains of modern society, ATLUS have remained stoutly silent about Persona 5. That was until an image began to circle the Internet.

There has been no official confirmation that the information in the poster is real or faked, but if it is a forgery, it is certainly a good one because they use the official ATLUS and P Studio logos at the top. The breaking of the chain in the middle definitely paints the picture of a reveal, and with no announced delay apparent, an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show would definitely be consistent with the company’s trend of revealing their games three or four months before their designated release.

Adam Boyes at the PlayStation Experience said that Persona 5 would get a release in North America soon after the Japanese release. Which means you should be able to import it or buy it of the US store.
