2-0 down to Galatasaray earlier, won 3-2.

I realised I wasn't breathing when I played the through-ball for the winner. Went mental. Great stuff.

...that PES effect :datass:. I played four 'Online Divisions' games yesterday and each was slick and lag-free. I was very rusty, though, and I lost all of 'em 2-1. Slightly unlucky in the last game as I selected Cardiff ("South Wales") and was edged out by someone playing as Bayern Munich.

As ever, nearly everyone selects Real or Barca . You know you're playing a decent player when they choose, say, Everton ("Merseyside Blue") and proceed to play like Champions. I can respect that.

Did anyone have problems redeeming the MyClub Bonus items DLC with the code included in the box? I tried using the code but it's telling me it's already been used.

Just had my first online game as Liverpool vs Real Madrid (what a surprise) and despite being terrible and conceding a 2-0 lead i managed to scrape a 3-3 draw with a last minute goal from Sturridge 8-) I like what i've played so far but i can't defend to save my life.

It's simulating Liverpool well then.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I keep chossing spurs as they are my team and so far i have held off barca and real quite well. I had a cracking game with one person who was fiorentina. I was losing 1 nil to in my opinion a sloppy goal that i caused by myself , in the second half i changed my tactics and put two up top and played on the wings. I then banged in 3 goals in the final 15 minutes , strawberry floating loved it. I also beat someone as real madrid 4 nil. Just smashed him.

Anyone playing on the PS3 by any chance ?

I am getting games but it kind of laggy in some of them. Nice feeling as you stroke the ball around the pitch.

Loving this so much now and the online majority of the time is silky smooth, i can only assume bad response is due to someone having a crap connection. Robben is amazing in this game as well, he has great control a wicked shot and a load of pace. By the way for anyone who didn't know you can perform finesse shots using R2 when you shoot.

:x I failed to finesse a shot last night. Can't even remember what I pressed, but it wasn't R2. Would have made a huge difference to the game at the time, too. I definitely need ot work on my finishing/shot placement.

I can't add much more than to my previous posts, except to say (again) that this game is incredible.

I got stuffed 6-2 by the computer last night after having a man sent off. But even before I went down to 10 men, they were ripping me apart because I was playing 3-5-2. My defence was getting pulled all over the shop, and they exploited every single bit of space.

It just feels like proper football, like FIFA never has, and never will. I'm totally smitten.

If you're reading this and are on the fence at all - especially if you're an aficionado of 'old' Pro Evo - just get it. Get it. Guarantee you'll love it.

Edit: Eurogamer format comparison here. PS4 wins by some distance.

by the way and my only one issue with the game is the pass response time and this was picked up on reviews. I wish it was just that little bit faster , not fifa ping pong as that can't happen anyway but just the release needs to be a bit quicker, other than that this game is awesome. Just wish destiny wasn't so addictive as i would have played this more.

haha that game is like crack to me. i'm so hooked on it that i can't be arsed with much else other than pro evo and even then i think hmm maybe i could play some destiny. WoW did this to me at one point but not to this scale.

Played a bit of the demo (on ps4), trying to adjust to the slowness of the player's to turn. I played a lot of pes2012, doing barcelona-like one touch passing, and against online opponents after they've spent the whole match slaughtering me was a satisfying thing, i have some saved and am pathetically proud every time I watch them. I have one where Messi has two players incoming to his left (and i was playing like the 40th best in the world who seemed like he had turbo charged players and i barely got the ball), and flicked the ball behind me, skipping their challenge, then slammed the ball in. With pes2012 you had to be in the penalty box to even have a chance on goal most of the time, every player unable to generate any shot power. I could play this game a lot online, I've missed those games, i wonder if I'll get so angry again, at the lag, if there's any, at boring opponents.

Before i buy the game and the online, i have to ask about how it is on the ps4, compared to the xbox one, connecting to people, lag issues. I'm already a bit bummed about the pad being both really nice, light, and pleasant, but also too flat and thin on the sides towards the top, i can't get a good grip when pressing the r2 button and the thumbstick in a way i could in every controller I've ever used. The triggers are nice initially, but i think they should be bolder, wider, chunkier, they seem uncommitted. I forget that Sony prioritize style and looks over function, i don't know if anyone else finds the controller hard to grip on the sides with your index finger. The ps2 dualshock might have small handle grips, and have sharp edges and be a bit crude, but it's easy to just grab it firmly and play, the ps4 pad is missing plastic at the top sides so you can press inwards when you're using the r2 button and thumbstick. I've already started to look for adapters..

Ultimately, i think i got a ps4 for the change, the xbox 360 pad is chunky, still, but does the basics right, and for fps' was the best. A change and the Last of Us, which better be really strawberry floating amazingly good.

I haven't played the Xbox One version, 'Peon, but the PS4 version has been fine online for the past two weeks. Last Saturday I played four matches back-to-back and all were lag-free.

I guess that the 'pads are a personal choice. I've liked all the versions of the PlayStation pads but I don't have huge paws. I've been getting used to the PS4 DualShock 4 and I do like it a lot bar the changes from the old Select/Start to Share/Options; they seem a bit fiddly although I guess that's partly due to the new touchpad.

Anway, yeah - the PS4 version of PES is now working very well. I'm gonna jump on in a while to try and have a few games.

Thanks, i was gong through the thread to see if online improved from November. Is it quick to connect to players too? Finding them ?

Yeah I don't like where share/options are sat, they seem very tiny, when i look down I see the options button is really close and easily reached and then in the dark blind i can't get to it again. The pad is fine for this game, using r1 to run, so maybe not relevant to this thread, i probably have average sized man hands, maybe smaller than average, was wondering if anyone has said the same, there's gotta be a few.

I'm so cheap I want it for £20. Gonna buy though. It's because plus online..
So the series is still being released on PS3...and online is free for the ps3?
I really should have bought a PS3 and stuck with that..at the moment, every game i want is available on it. There's got to be some exclusives soon to justify owning it ! Stuck in that place of not owning the previous console and wanting the new one..

Just played for a couple of hours on PS4 and I found opponents quickly and there was no lag during the game.

I'm on a terrible run, though. In fourteen games I've won 1, drawn 4 and lost 9 :-(. I'm choosing 'lower' teams but, even so, it's annoying. I battered one team with 15 shots but they had one shot and scored.

PES  .
