When playing against Man Utd I have lost loads of goals to Ibra... his physical stats must be similar to the Hulk or something - he wins every battle!

I like Lazio but I think (thanks to swayerpip's guidance!) that their current team fitness level is D so they always have a lot of injured players. I'm enjoying using Nice (Ballotelli up front and and Dante in defence) even though my latest sequence of results suggests otherwise  .

Surely you meant Dante in ferno... :shifty:

Ibra is crazy. He was one of my wildcard players when I started a MyClub (since ditched it: too complicated. I just want to play football, not collect players). Anyway, Ibra is phenomenal. His lack of pace doesn't matter: as you've said, he just wins everything, and his shooting is amazing. He scores from anywhere. Just hits the corners almost by default. Is he still in the Sweden squad in this? I know he retired last summer... if he is, they might be worth a look as an high points-scoring side.

I'd agree Poser. I've got Ibra in My Club too albeit he's the initial loan so only got 2 matches left with him and I'm not allowed to extend his contract.

My Club is so in depth that I think I'm going to give up on it at some point. I never understood FUT enough in Fifa so never play FUT in those games. I think it's something for the younger generations as opposed to me.
Saying that, I used up 40000Gp on 4 random players the other day and got Isco, James Rodriguez, Cuadrado and some Swedish winger with a double barreled name whose name escapes me. Plus Ibra currently up top till his loan expires. Already got Evra at LB too.

Not a bad team with some of the random made up players in there too.

However I can't get them all in their correct positions as I can't find a way of changing my 4-3-3 formation. How do I do this?

If you click on the shirt icon in the "Game Plan Menu", KingK, you can then swap players around and change the formation by clicking X on a player and dragging them to where you wish them to be on the pitch.

Edit: You can then save up to three selections / formations by clicking on the folder icon. I really wish you could save more than three; ideally you want to be able to save at least one setup for every team!

Played as Nice v Real Madrid. Faced a constant barrage of pressure but broke away in the second half and scored. Then defended valiantly but let in an equaliser in the 90th minute. 1-1.

Then played as Nice v Barca. Faced a constant barrage of pressure but broke away in the second half and scored. Then defended valiantly but let in an equaliser in the 88th minute. 1-1.

Gutted :( :fp: . PES :x .

If this is in myclub, you can only change the formation by hiring a new manager (as each manager has a set formation). Though you can move players around slightly (left, right, forward and back) within their set position.

Also, in myclub, you can have up to 3 managers and assign them to separate tactics - default, sub offensive and sub defensive; which will then allow you to change formation during a match.

That prob makes no sense  Any questions sure, I'll try and explain better!

Ah! Good call, dmin - my guidance was for the Online Divisions and other modes and, yes, I think KingK meant myClub.

I only realised recently that you could set assistant managers in myclub.

Been playing my master league game again, with godoy cruz on super star level. Year 2022 and got a Venezuelan footballer called penaranda. He's superb.

Had a bit of an epiphany with this last night. Playing as Arsenal, I had a switch around from my standard line-up, and put Welbeck through the middle. Made a huge difference as he has much more pace and presence than Sanchez or Giroud.

Playing in online division 9, I had a draw against Liverpool, but then pasted someone with Real Madrid 4-1. I then repeated the scoreline against someone playing as Spain. Dominated all the stats in both games - only problem is my finishing still lets me down sometimes, because I could have had double figures in that Madrid game.

8-)

Edit: don't think I'm near Sawyerpip's level yet but hopefully honing my skills a wee bit.

Nice play, dude - it feels good to stuff a "top" team, doesn't it? :) .

In my last Online Divisions (8) game I used Nice to beat Barca 4-1. The guy must have been raging because, after he had been 1-0 up, he tried every trick in the book i.e. constantly pausing the game, not taking free kicks and corners until the timer had run down and even not touching the controller at one point. Towards the end he started to play again and I grabbed the fourth. It was glorious  .

My master league game is going pretty good at mo, I'm on course for the triple with Godoy Cruz (on the hardest setting).

Signed a striker called Bauza who originated in one of the pes leagues; hes turned out amazing and is a superstar after 2 seasons. Also, got a 20 year old Dani Alves who I'd promoted from my youth team. His stats are at 90 already

Will go back to online once I get the triple 8-)

Sorry if this is a question I should Google, but I trust Grcade peeps and it might be a bit more of a complex response than I'd get from hitting 'search'.

Long story short: I used to be a Pro Eve buyer. So did my mate. And then Fifa overtook it and I switched up until now. I still use 'Alternative' controls on Fifa as I've never adjusted from Pro Eve.
I don't have loads of time to invest in playing game after game, evening after evening, but my friend and I have regular hooked up on a Thursday night to play Ultimate Team, co-op, online against other humans. We love it. Shouting out what runs we're making, hugs when a great goal is scored etc. And we like chatting about how to strengthen the team and adjust tactics. It's social event.

Lately though, Fifa has become a bit gooseberry fool. Pace rules. Opponents seen to have some kind of witchcraft where they ride challenges, steal the ball in seemingly impossible situations, press with an energy my team simply doesn't possess. I get that some of that is down to my skill, but a lot of it just seems plain unfair.

So: I think I might go back to Pro Eve. Is there an equivalent mode where my friend and I can play on the same team against others online? It has to be co-op. It's the deal-breaker.
And also, is it a lot slower/fairer online?

Thanks to anyone who replies.

I'm only 80% sure it has online co-op, so I'll wait for someone who can confirm.

However, I will say this: it's the best football game I've ever played. I've been playing Pro Evo since before it was ISS 98, and, like you, switched to FIFA around 2009 for a few years.

I also think the online is pretty fair, too. I wasn't good when I started, but am working my way up the leagues now and am playing with a bit of confidence. The only problem is the Madrid/Barca spamming, but it's possible to nullify them when you get better at the game.

(Got to division 8 last night with two 3-0 wins.)

Dat higher echelon :datass: . Nice play, man.

I'm in Online Division 8 and I need one win from my final two games to gain promotion to Division 7. I think I've only reached Division 7 twice before and I got relegated both times  . I've played the whole season as Nice... they're my current fave team.

'Mon Jawa, you can do it!

I got off to a poor start in D9, because I picked Crystal Palace and got thumped by Barca*. (I still think Palace could be decent - Townsend and Zaha either side of Benteke, but when the stakes are high, you need a team that you just know inside out.) I find with Arsenal and Lyon that the defenders are so fast, they can snuff out danger really quickly. It's ideal.

You must pick up decent points with Nice per win, though?

* as you predicted, you do get much less Barca/|Madrid spam in the higher leagues. I played against Liverpool, Torino and Leicester last night. If anything, I was the spammer!

Yeah, Arsenal are pretty good - I have used them a few times but it didn't quite feel like Sanchez is as good as he is IRL!

Poser wrote:...You must pick up decent points with Nice per win, though?...

Yeah, I think you get around 540 points for a win. They're not bad because they have Balotelli up front and Dante in defence. They're both great although "Why Always Me?" seems to have low fitness most of the time. Dante is a beast, though, and useful for trying to stop Ronaldo when he's getting spammed.

The toughest player that I face - bar Ronaldo and Messi - is Ibrahimovic. I don't know what his stats are, but my defenders just bounce off him and his headers and shots are *always* on target. He's a total pain in the backside  .

Yeah, his shots are unreal. I just tend to hold X and Square and try to close him down as quickly as possible. It pulls your defence out of shape but tends to keep him quiet.

Re Sanchez, yeah, it's frustrating, but if you put him wide left, he's decent - and Wellbeck is surprisingly good at CF :D

I've gained promotion to Online Division 6 for the first time ever :toot: . I used Nice for the season and we put a string of decent results together. I think I'm gonna have to up the quality of my finishing to survive at this level, though!

So sorry mate, I missed that message (which is weird because they usually flash up on my phone, too). We'll manage to play one day :D

Division 6 is great going, though. I forced my first ever rage quit the other night. I was pasting a guy who was using Madrid, winning 3-0. He then ran three own goals into his net from the subsequent kick-offs, and then he quit  I added him to my block list.
