Just have to make do with master league at the mo; first world problems!

Just sent a friend request. Hope that's ok. If you ever see me playing Pro Evo, I'd be more than happy to have a game or two. :D

Played two "Online Divisions" games this afternoon... man, where they different!

First up I played a guy who was just superb - probably one of the best players that I have faced. I was using Lazio and he was Man United; he was so quick and skilful that I could barely get a touch! I lost 7-2 in the end but I think he eased up in the last ten minutes or so. It was apparently his first game in Online Divisions but I checked his stats and he was a Division 2 player in the PES League. He totally kicked my butt  .

After that I played another guy who was pretty good... but far too flash. He was mucking about doing daft things like bringing his keeper out and doing silly tricks; which is how I managed to nick the ball off him and score. He continued to be an ass (constantly pausing the game and then not controlling his players for a while) before he tried hard to get an equaliser in the second half. I held on and felt epic 8-) .

Glad to see this thread being revived, this game deserves it as it's a really good game of football.

I agree that playing against teams like Real Madrid regularly gets frustrating, but like Jawa says the wins are much sweeter when you are using a 'lesser' team. If you look at the highest ranked players in Online Divisions, not many of them (if any?) are actually in Division 1 because even if you win all your games you can't get higher than Division 4 or 5 if you are playing as Real Madrid or the like, you can't get enough points.

My aim is to get to Division 1 but I'm not sure I'll be able to. I'm currently in Division 4, have been up to Division 3 twice and survived relegation for a season or two but eventually ended up going down both times. As an Everton supporter I usually play as them, I've started playing as Leicester or West Ham regularly because you get slightly more points, but you are still looking at needing to win 7 or 8 out of 10 games to get promotion even at Division 4. Anyone who makes it to Division 1 really deserves it.

That's good play, sawyer'. I'm currently in Division 8 but I have gained enough points to be promoted to Division 7... I don't recall playing at that level before so I think it's gonna be real tough!

What is your strategy when players have low fitness (the orange and red downward arrows) in your team selection? I tend to try and swap all of them out for fitter players, regardless of their skill rating. But should I be keeping the better players in the line-up even if they're not as fit?

If they are diagonally downwards I usually swap them out, but sometimes can be tempted to keep them if they are one of the best players on the team. If they are red downwards I always swap them out. Although I played a game last week where all 3 of my goalkeepers had red downwards arrows

If you look at the teams before selecting them they each have a form grade A-E in the corner. I assume it is updated on real-life form because they don't seem to bother updating the lower league teams. If it's A or B you generally won't have many, if any, out of form players. Teams graded E are best stayed away from until the next update as most of their players will have downwards arrows.

Ah... I'd noticed that ranking letter but wasn't quite sure what it related to; I don't think it appeared when the game launched.

Just played some matches against sawyerpip...

...and he kicked my backside :-).

> Everton 3 Lazio 0
> Swansea 2 Lazio 0
> Cardiff 3 Boca Juniors 1

I was just pleased to get that goal in the third game  . sawyer' knows how to move the ball around quickly and whip in crosses. At 1-1 in the final game I thought I may hold on for the draw, but then I made a stupid defensive mistake and sawyer pounced  .

Thanks for the games, dude!

EDIT: sawyer, from your earlier tip I've noticed that Lazio are form level "D"... no wonder I'm getting out-of-form players so much!

No problem those were good games Jawa. Crosses are generally my game plan, either that or quick one-twos between the strikers.

Yeah I was worried I wasn't going to get the breakthrough in the third game but got lucky when you messed up at the back. You are a lot more comfortable with your goalkeeper having time on the ball than I am!

How was the connection on your end? I've recently moved and had some complaints about lag from other players, but hoping I've sorted that since switching to a wired connection.

It was all good, sawyer - no probs at all - all smooth games.

I stayed in the room after you'd left and I've just played three games against another chap. We had three good games; one win each and a draw... then I messaged "Great games! Thanks for playing!" and he just came back with "Chicken" and left the room  :? . There are some weird people online  .

Oh, and... PES is like a gym workout! I get so into it that my concentration is on maximum and my hands ache at the end of the gaming session  :fp:  .

But, hey, that's PES  .

Glad you guys managed to play each other. I'm still not getting online - my little lad is sleeping badly at the moment so I'm getting to 8.30 and just want to sleep/cry :slol:

Hopefully soon, though.

I remember those days well! :D Thankfully easier now, but it's usually after 10 before I'm on.

Off on me hols at mo, so had some online games during the day yesterday without any lag / dropping issues. Must be the time of day / who I get paired with, ie closer to home, that made the difference.

Hey, dmin, could I pop over a friend invite to you? It'd be cool to have a game or two if you're around.

Had a couple of hours playing PES tonight. Got promoted up to Online Division 7...

...and then lost five on the bounce :fp: :x . Four really tight matches by the odd goal, and then a 4-1 pasting against Dortmund.

Then played rubbish against Man City and won 2-1.

Classic PES   .
