As long as I don't see gooseberry fool like this every 10 second I'm fine.

FIFA felt so smooth and organic on PS3/360, what the hell happened?

Every year we get FIFA fans and PES fans crapping on the other game :( . Both have good aspects and weaker areas. Why not just enjoy the game that you prefer to play?

If that was closer in and at 1080p you might have a point.

I agree . Competition is good ,as I said in the fifa thread competition is good for both games and consumers.it means the developers need to improve.

Although appearance assessment is always gonna be subjective, that's just ridiculous. "PES 2017 - one of the worst-looking games this generation" .

I agree it is ridiculous. I'm not wrong though.

Picked this up today and I hate to agree with Hugo but it does look like ass. Good thing the gameplay is so rewarding though.

Right back into this. Started my Online Divisions campaign... rough start! Playing against Barca at least every other game (obvs) and it's tough.

But, hey, I finished with a hard-fought draw guiding Universidad de Chile to a thrilling 0-0 with Barca. Sometimes a draw feels better than a win etc :) .

Bought PES for first time in years after enjoying the demo, £40 from Asda can't complain.

Few hours play and got an option file sorted with full kits, badges etc and thankfully was piece of piss.

Great game, gameplay is superb and a lot more modes than I remember there last being. Cant wait to get into it properly, myclub - Bale and Alaba in first few free packs 8-)

Must admit I am absolutely loving this game - much better than last years instalment and the kit patches improve things quite a bit.

Finally managed to settle on a standard 4-4-2 formation in this and am up to Division 7 in online divisions after winning 13 of my last 16 games. I'm not sure if it's because my rating was so low after losing most of my first 10 games but I've been playing a much better variety of teams than I was in 2016 - I've played Napoli, Spurs, Lyon, Sunderland and Croatia recently, a lot better than the constant Real Madrid and Bayern in last year's game.

Does this still have an offline Master League mode?

I've not purchased a copy of Pes since PES 5 so i'm not sure what game modes are still available. The new Fifa demo left me cold and this was kinda fun to play in comparison and reminded me a lot of PES 5

Awesome! What's the best place to get option files for this then? And are they easy enough to install?

Also used that file, really easy and I haven't played a PES game in years. Option file is awesome, forget when playing as Juve etc they are not licensed.

Suprised with both the variety of teams people play as online and the zero lag or issues I've encountered so far (touch wood only played about 10 games).

Sweet... Just picked it up from Amazon and should get it tomorrow. Does that option file also do faces? Or just the kits etc?

As far as I know - correct me if I'm wrong someone, most of if not all the players are licensed i.e they have their likenesses such as Zlatan & Pogba etc for 'Man Red' are exactly how they look - don't know how people can say the game looks bad - its just the kits which are generic crap.

Yes, the option files amend team kits and badges. I'm not overly familiar with copyright / image law, but I believe that whilst a formal license arrangement is required to call a team, say, "Liverpool" and to display the actual Liverpool kit and badge, there is nothing to stop a developer using player surnames and creating a likeness. Hence in PES the names and faces usually be a strong resemblance to the real player names and images (i.e. the same) but club names, badges and kits vary.
