Good lord pc owners got the short straw. Xbox versions softer and ps4 the best. My love for the game increases the more I play it. Best footie game ever made...it just feels so damn good to play.

I still haven't bought this yet despite my best intentions. I've even put a few more hours into PES2016 this week when I was off work sick. I think I might just be happy enough with what I've already got, I don't think I really need a new footie game just for the sake of it. What's happening to me? :?

I was going to give it a miss this time around, too, but the positive vibes soon saw me crack. Maybe you could hold off until Christmas, Preezy, when it'll probably appear as one of the offers on the PS Store - I recall that happened last year and it was about £25.

Aye, I think a price drop will be enough to tempt me.

I'm in the same boat. I want it digitally but 50 notes is a joke.

I just had one of my favourite online experiences ever with this game.

Up to division 6 on online divisions, and I was struggling with my usual team of Everton, with only 2 wins and a draw in the first 8 matches. Looking at the league, I needed 2000 points total to stay up, or 679.5 in each of my last two games. The closest team I could find was Morocco, who get 680 per win, exactly what I needed.

I wasn't holding out much hope given my current form, but my first match was against Malaga. I was definitely still the underdog, but after expecting Real Madrid or Barcelona I was fairly happy with the draw. I normally play with a standard 4-4-2, but decided to stick with Morocco's default 4-5-1 as I expected to be under a lot of of pressure.

After a fairly strong opening 10 minutes I found myself under the cosh and ended up conceding. After failing to create much in the first half, I switched back to my standard 4-4-2 in the second half in the hope of creating more.

The strategy didn't work at first, and the first 20 minutes of the second half was all Malaga. But at 77 minutes I found myself on the break from a corner, and after a great cross and header it was 1-1. There was a chance!

Malaga seemed rattled, and the last 10 minutes was all Morocco. With just 5 minutes left I found myself out on the wing again, and after a run to the near post the striker heads the ball towards goal. Save! But only deflected to the defender, and in what seemed to last an eternity, the ball bounced backwards and trickled over the goal line. 2-1! We managed to hold on in a tense final few minutes, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

But the journey was only half done. I needed one more win to stay up. I chose Morocco again, and this time I was up against Argentina. I had to rely on my Moroccan defence to hold Messi at bay and try to nick one at the other end.

I decided on 4-4-2 from the off, and I noticed that my opponent had pushed most of his attackers out towards the right hand side, so decided to focus down the left. My tactics worked, and in the first 30 minutes Morocco were in control of the game, before a nice one-two between the strikers put me clean through on goal and 1-0 up.

I expected an onslaught in the second half but it wasn't to come. In fact, Morocco went on to win 2-0 after a poor clearance fell to a Moroccan midfielder 25 yards out who scored a screamer into the top corner. A fairly uneventful final 15 led to the final whistle. We'd done it!

Amazing scenes, sawyer! I always enjoy those kind of hard-fought, last-minute achievements; more so than the odd easy victory. I have barely played PES during the past year but your story has reminded me just how good PES can be at times :) .

Thanks Jawa, but I'm still not going to bite. I haven't actually played PES16 for a few weeks now and I don't miss it. I'm slowly working through my backlog of games, trying to squeeze every bit of value out them!

Just managed to secure promotion to Division 5 for the first time in the last game of the season with a 1-0 over Barcelona as Rotherham United :D

Well played, sawyer! That's quite an achievement... those hard-fought one-nil victories are always satisfying :toot: .

I don't think I ever progressed beyond Division 7 when I played, even in my Lazio glory days  . It's a tough game to play online.

Thanks! I may have celebrated a little at the final whistle.

Yeah it's a tough game online. I doubt I'll manage to get any higher now, I'd need to win 8/10 games with my usual team of Everton to get promotion again which is a tough ask, not sure I've ever managed that in a season before. Although if I stick with Rotherham I'll only need 5/10

Sorry to bump this again but I had a great session today, 9 consecutive wins and a draw! That puts me up to Division 4 which it looks like less than 1,000 people have managed, and I'm ranked 56th for the Division 5 points record :D

I guess no-one else is really playing this online anymore?

Last time I tried to upload a video it game me an estimated time of something ridiculous like 10 hours, is it quicker these days?

Hmm now I have avoided getting a football game this year for a number of reasons, but that is pretty tempting. Could tide me over for another year, in fact.

£7.99 is nothing, its like the price of 20 Freddos.

It's more a case of am I ever going to actually play it? I've got PES16 and haven't touched that in months. Fallen out of love with football games a bit to be honest.

Admittedly I do get fatigued with them, I've fallen into a pattern of buying them every 2 years now making sure I have the latest version for each World Cup/Euro.

I'll definitely pick up PES 2018, and after that most likely 2020.

I'd love a VR mode where I could look up the pitch instead of relying on the radar.
