PES 2017 - Download the PES Universe Option File

I've started off the new season in Division 8 and I'm sticking with Lazio. Battled to a 0-0 against Liverpool in the first game before beating England 2-1 in match two. I'm hoping that result will kickstart my form!

Yes! YES! YES!

Back in Online Division 7 with Lazio and my first two games have been against - oh what a surprise! - Real and Barca. In both games I was out-played... but got a result in both :toot:

Against Real I had to work so hard to try and contain the pace of Ronaldo and Bale; and, in the few breaks that I had, I took my chances - even leading 3-2 until they grabbed a 90+1 equaliser. Felt good, though.

And then I came up against a guy using Barca who was doing all the mazy runs, 1-2s, flicks and tricks... I just had to hang in there. Lazio were putting their bodies on the line, blocking everything :wub:

. And, in the 80th minutes, I broke away down the left, played a neat chip to a guy out on the wing, chucked in a cross and powered home the header! It was back to desperate defending for the final ten minutes but I held out.

Barcelona 0 Lazio 1. Get in there!

Do you ever get people rage messaging you after games, Jawa? ... I find I'm getting more in fifa in the last few months than I ever had and it's one thing that really annoys me, it's not my fault I beat you. I've now just reverted to trolling everyone who sends me a message

I used to, shadow - if I won or got a draw, quite often I'd get an abusive message. But since I've had my PS4, I've changed the message settings so that only friends can message me. It's a shame as, extremely occassionally, you get a nice message... but it's still worth it to avoid the annoying abuse.

Yeah it gets frustrating when you get the whole 'youre just a gooseberry fool spammer's or whatever other creative insult they come up with when you win a game fairly.. I did get into an argument with some guy because in fairness to him I was being a bit of a dick watching replays of my goals, my players celebrating, walking back to centre circle etc and I scored like 5/6. His club name was 'IRA' and after the asked me why I was such a banana split we got into an argument were he was supportive of the IRA and I was telling him why we'd be better off without them on this planet

Dude, yeah, I'd recommend changing your message settings. It's a waste of time getting into "conversations" with folk like that.

Almost as bad are the cry-babies who quit a game because they're losing. Earlier today I went 3-0 up in the first half and the guy just quit. It's silly as not only did I get awarded the game but their Courtesy rating is affected. Just play the game and take defeats on the chin! :lol:

Yeah man rage quitters are the worst. Like we all eventually come up against better players and we take a beating no need to be a baby about it. I've lost some games 6/7 - 0 and seen the final whistle.

Top man. I've had my fair share of pastings over the years with PES! I've never quit, though. However, on many occassions where I've banged in a few goals my opponent has quit. Feels like a good time to roll out this example...

In my opening game I lost 2-0 to Barca but then I got my first point in a hugely entertaining 1-1 draw with Roma. I think things will be tough but "I gotta believe!".

Tough times, man. Online Division 6 is a struggle. I gained my first win - a great 1-0 victory away at Real - but I've now lost two tight games; 0-1 to Porto and 1-2 to Norwich. It's just... tough.

Gutted!

Going in to my final game of the season in Online Division 6, I needed to lead Lazio to a draw in order to stay up. Facing Roma, I was 2-0 down at half-time. I fought hard to bring it back to 2-2 and then they scored a winner in 90+4; literally the last real kick of the game as the ref blew for full time immediately as I kicked off.

Gutted!

I dunno what has happened, but my form is dire! Lost the opening four games in Online Division 7... all as Lazio: 0-3 Germany, 1-2 Juventus, 0-1 Real Madrid and 0-1 Real Madrid.

I'm not playing that bad but I just can't score at the moment. It doesn't help that, with most of the teams I'm playing, they're packing their defence and just having three attackers (of the Ronaldo / Bale variety) up front.

Gonna take a break.

Currently in a match where the guy stopped playing with just 10 minutes on the clock

Now have to waste 10-15mins waiting for the game to end before I can find another match, I was only planning to play for half hour or so.

. I've occassionally played guys like that... sometimes they start playing again.

Okay, so I lost my first five. Never done that in any division before... just atrocious. But I've broken the hoodoo by grabbing a 1-0 victory against Napoli. #relief

Sometimes you just end up going on a bad run, I find giving a different team a try sometimes helps when out of form. I recently did a season with Ajax which started off well but trailed off, and have followed your lead and given Lazio a go today. I did well and won 4/5, but a couple of the games were against players who stopped playing. Planning to give Poland a go for the final 5 games of the season, 3/5 wins with them will get me promotion to Division 4 and their team looks to be quite decent despite getting 510 points per win.

Yeah, it was just a bit frustrating to have played pretty well and reached Online Division 6... and then go on a run of relegation and not being able to hit a barn door! I think I'll take your advice to try out a different team, just as a change from Lazio.

I don't like using the "bigger" teams (Real, Barca, Bayern, MCity etc) as that feels a bit "cheaty"... even though I'm not a great player, I like choosing a slightly lower team and battling against the hordes

That was a good game, sorry I had to run off so quickly but my food was going cold :lol:

I saw a lot of the ball but you defended well and my striker's control wasn't the best meaning I struggled to create any clear cut openings. I also thought you might have had a penalty at one point, I'm sure my defender slid right through your player in the box :lol:

I think maybe because you already had got your shot off it didn't register.

Also managed to secure my promotion to Division 4 just before our game. It's the highest I've ever been and I don't think I lasted long in the division last time, hopefully this time will go better.

Nice play, sawyer - to get to Division 4 requires a high standard of play! I don't know how you manage to get your players to get to the ball so quickly when it breaks loose

After we played I continued my Online Division 7 season with Lazio... the season where I had lost the opening five games. I won three, meaning that I needed just a draw from one of my last two games to stay up. In my penultimate game I lost 2-0 at home to Liverpool, the speed of their attack being hard to contain. So, I went into my final game away to Real Madrid.

And knocked out a stonking performance to snatch a 2-0 victory and thus stay in Division 7 :toot:
