Mine are free.

Bloody good job too, the dressings for my pressure sores are about £30 per box of 5 and I use at least one box every couple of days, then there's stuff like sterile gauze swabs, saline cleaning solution and various other prescription medicines. The whole lot comes in a massive cardboard box every fortnight.

Bought a few bits and pieces in town today, what interests you all however is surely the pokemon cards. so here are some pokemon cards.

Image

50p each, about right for the pricing. A bunch of these are staples (I've paid up to £3.50 for a single Guzma before) and I needed Red Card and Wide Lens for tournament options so it was great to pick these up. Took me about half an hour shifting through thousands of gooseberry fool cards to find them but I had a lot of fun doing it, so ok by me.

Image

Also bought a 3 pack of boosters from Asda because why not. £12. Pulled strawberry float all of significance because it's not a very good set but I did get one of my personal favourite cards, which is a single for about £6, so financially this was an absurd purchase, but I had fun with it so whatever.

Perhaps the national anthem should not have dropped that sixth verse after all. ;)

Bought this collection for a ridiculously good price a couple of weeks ago. (Vol 1 arrived today. 6 more needed to complete the collection.)

Image

Needed to make room for them on my shelves and in doing so ended up finding these Preacher figures which I'd totally forgotten about.

Image

Even though the Rurouni Kenshin collection was a super cheap purchase, I still felt guilty for buying it (strawberry float knows why) and thought of selling off my SiP collection to "make up for it". But then I saw laid out like that and thought against it.

Image

If anything, I'll probably add to it this year.

SoK, I'm guessing those Preacher figures are based on the graphic novels.

Tulip looks nothing like her TV counterpart, strawberry float knows why they cast Ruth Negga as her.

Aye, wasn't sure about Tulip at first but I actually like her depiction on the show. I mean, considering the various changes I find it to be one of the more acceptable ones. (Best one being Arseface's story.)

The sucky thing is the government never sent me my exemption card so worked out I've wasted about £300. Apparently its a common thing and they basically expect you to ring up strawberry float knows where.

I never had to fill in any forms to get free prescriptions (and dental care) but that's probably because I was still a child when I was registered as disabled (that sounds incredibly sinister doesn't it?).

Basically if you claim anything that intrinsically declares you disabled you'e meant to have class 2 exemption or whatever it is in the form of a card the DWP or NHS sends you, triggered automatically, but a lot of the time this never happens and cos life and stuff don't get around to making them do it. And the documentation approving\accepting the condition to qualify for benefit isn't accepted at pharmacies, only this special card is even though they prove the same thing. For example I can get disability rate at leisure centres using one statement of entitlement, but I still pay for prescriptions because of this.

So I reckon a lot of people don't have to pay prescriptions and can also get some free dental care but don't get it because they need some cardboard.

It's very silly and it's a fair suspicion that govt make it as complicated as possible. I've read about people phoning up the relevant department and being told, "sorry we should have sent one out within 2 weeks, we'll send another one asap" etc etc.

(Yes I should phone them up but I literally only found this out on the internet)

It's a bit like the ludicrous amount of PIP claims that are turned around and awarded on appeal and other stuff. My mother worked in the mental health sector and it's very much about trying to minimise the people that can access this help and support, not the other away around.

Anyway super off topic rant! I've got another 2 years or so before the gov tries to undisable me even though science says no I'm stuck how I am forever.

I'm getting old.

It's meant to be ice cream but I'm sure that's what they were going for.
