Sorry pal, I have to say I don't really see the problem with that. I think most of these initiatives springing up around University freshers weeks are a good thing.

Seems fine and reasonable, i mean it does out right assume it is only going to be the guy doing the abusin' but odds are I guess it would be. Still that sort of thing can only be a good thing.

I think it should a double sided card and given to both sexes without the male and female tags. I’ve had my cock grabbed and arse squeezed a number of times by girls over the years without my permission. Obviously the victims are by far female and the perpetrators are by far male but stuff like this only makes male victims feel more isolated.

Image being a victim of an attack like that and then someone comes up and hands you a card implying that you may be a perpetrator.

Im guessing it is a double sided card, easier to just hand out that way.

women are overwhelmingly the victims of sexual assault, and overwhelmingly the victims of serious sexual assault, to be blunt no one really cares if youve had your bum squeezed once or twice and that's hardly a big deal compared with what women have to deal with every day of their lives

I'm not comparing it. But if you want to then the only comparison is to like for like sexual assault.

It's like saying no one cares that you were punched in the face because someone got stabbed round the corner.

those are not comparable at all

having your bum squeezed on the odd occassion as a man by a women is nowhere near like a woman having her bum squeezed by a man, and you having your bum squeezed is not adding what is likely another - all too common - instance of being treated as a second class person, as it would be for the woman receiving it would be.
i dont know how you cant see that.

And you cant see that sexual assault is sexual assult, it doesnt matter that it happens to women more often or in worse ways. If someone grabs your arse without you wanting them to then its sexual assault, and it should be treated equally seriously for either gender.

1. i cant believe you even said that second bit after the comma (in bold); i hope youve just made a mistake. are you saying we should spend equal time on male victims versus female victims? fair isnt the same thing as equal effort/time/resources
2. how likely is bum-squeezing going to affect a male - considering he doesnt have to put up with it often/have it be part of persistent objectification, or how likely is it going to lead to more serious sexual assault if the man isnt careful? if a man reports it then it should be treated equally but you cant remove social context from these decisions.
