Isn't halal more than just not have moo cow and such in it, isn't it a blessing of sorts so without the blessing it isn't halal?

Don't think so - Halal isn't a blessing is it? Just "lawful". So no blood and no pigs is it I think? Edit Oh and none that died of natural causes!

Halal basically just means 'allowed' so I doubt it applies to soft drinks as you see plenty of muslims drinking the same drinks as non muslims.
As long as a drink doesn't contain alcohol then it is probably acceptable for followers of most faiths

That picture just shows how reliable modern jets are.
If you look at the history of the A380 it's been in service since 2007 Airbus has delivered 215 aircraft that have flown millions of miles with zero crashes or fatalities and every single incident (very few indeed given the aircraft are used as much as possible) is high profile so it's unlikely we missed anything.
