I was once sat on the back of a minibus on the way back from a school trip. I had a really bad migraine at the time and two girls grabbed and poked at my genitals. I didn't want them to do it, i hadn't been flirting with them, i didn't like them in any way. They took advantage of the situation. I was in too much pain and too shy at the time to complain to the teacher and being the late 90s i don't think the teacher would have done anything other than just say 'come one girls, leave him alone'. But it's something that started to bother me more and more over the years.

It's not. I have no idea why you keep going on about this. I was simply saying that male victims of sexual assault should not be ignored. I never once claimed anything other. It was you who started it all by saying that no one cares about my sexual assault when you know nothing about me or any situation. You did not need to say that at all.

i think everyone agrees that male victims of sexual assault shouldnt be ignored. my issue was you bringing it up as a counterpoint to a focus on female sexual assault. if youre saying its not being paid the same amount of attention, then i would say rightly so, because its not as much of a priority (again, fair doesnt mean equal), and if youre just saying it should be recognised as well then im not sure what that adds to the discussion?

I don't understand why they couldn't have just used the 'for women' one as the only version, maybe with a choice few points taken from the other one.

I didn't bring it up as a counterpoint to a focus on female sexual assault. I haven't got a clue what you are talking about. My comments were quite simple and i don't know how you can think that i was saying anything else. I don't know what you obsession is with this but just leave it now please.

Because that suggests all that can be done is you can be on the look out for it. It is trying to say hey be on the look out for it, aaaand dont be a banana split rather than assuming that the assaulter is going to do it regardless so lets just make sure everyone knows what to do when the inevitable happens.

The problem is it's obviously pretty sexist. As has already been said they could have easily chosen to make one papmphlet with no gender indicated that had the best of both but instead they chose to make two.

I never said these initiatives in theroy are bad, just they are often ham fisted and spearheaded by the worst kinds of Social Justice Warriors, rather than actually competent people who care about social justice.

Yeah it does matter that someone in a position of power, granted not much, is peddling sexism.

I'm assuming in your lines of work you don't deal with many of these people, sadly I do. Lots of people in Social Juatice are very nice and friendly and care about equality but a good deal are mind numbingly stupid, and sadly these are the loudest and the ones who push these kinds of pamphlets, and worse through the system.
