I've been watching my son play the demo this morning, We've agreed to go halves on a physical copy, so I'll be playing this at some point in the future.
100% on first 2 levels including all night levels Platinum on all time trial and dandori battles
That's taken just under 12 hours of play. It's been difficult to put down. Really like how they've fleshed out the single player with a bit of variety.
Just started the demo. Why is the character customisation complete strawberry floating gooseberry fool garbage?
Also it opens like it's re-telling the story of Pikmin 1 and then Olimar's like "and then I met a strawberry floating dog" like wow, what a gooseberry fool way to retcon the entire series. The way it's worded, you could maybe say that, okay, it's just happened again, and the way he introduces pikmin, he's just saying that he discovered them and named them pikmin, that the story he's currently telling is not his first time discovering and naming them, but like, strawberry float.
Also there's nothing I hate more than a cutscene ending, giving me control back, pressing forward for a nanosecond to take one step and then another cutscene happens. Just make it one long cutscene.
The lock-on feature from 3 is in full force too, snapping onto things from 10 trillion miles away obnoxiously.
This is just the first 10 minutes of the game. Am I just that miserable of a human being to find this many negatives so quickly?

The pacing of the opening hour is terrible but once you get away from the tutorial part it hits its strides so keep at it.
I didn't like the retcon either, it's basically a reboot. I don't really see why they had to go down that route as it would have been easy to avoid but there we go.
