Ham and Pineapple, on a thin base.

Freezer pizzas, yeuch. I don't hate them, but we're talking takeaway pizza here.

The added price is offset by having a small man in slightly baggy trousers turn up on your doorstep in the dead of night just to carry it for you. :)

Like I previously said, the pizzas themselves are just plain cheese ones. All the toppings I add to it are fresh, tastes groovy as hell.

I haven't been in a proper pizzeria for a long time lately (they're just sooo late 80s) but I used to love Calzone pizzas, you know the ones that are folded double, stuffed with toppings (can you speak of 'top'pings in this case?) and you'd usually get some Bolognese sauce on the side.

Mmmmmmm......

Ever had takeaway pizza from Costco? Lovely, huge and cheap. £1.50 per slice or £7 for a whole pizza I think. They used to have a 'Combo' with meatballs and red onion which was fantastic. Now have BBQ Chicken or Pepperoni.

Unfortunately don't have a Pizza Hut, Dominos etc anywhere near my home. So have to put up with supermarket pizzas - Chicago Town Takeaway Pepperoni being my current favourate (bit too tomato-y though).

I never thought there was such a thing. The bourgeois are all eating crumpets and scownes, surely?

Banjo wrote:My usual habit is to buy the Tesco/Asda/Morrisons/whatever Four Cheese Pizzas, they're usually about 3 for £5. Then I just buy assorted meats and chuck whatever I fancy on them. The saving in the long run is quite noticeable, and the pizza still tastes fantastic.

I do that most of the time.

For luxury I like the ASDA or Sainsburys Cheese Feast stuffed crust. Absolutely gorgeous!

If I was going for a Dominos then it has to be the large Steak Special with a dominator crust. Absolutely delicious but I don't half feel ill after.

More of a filling, I'd say. A takeaway near me does garlic calzones :P

The best thing about a proper pizzeria is the chilli oil they give you, I wouldn't mind making it myself, but I'd either make it too mild or too hot, not just right like the one they do.

I'm quite partial to the Vegetable from Domino's...with the mushrooms taken off & replaced with chicken. In fact, apart from the Ham & Pineapple, I'll eat them all.

That new 25% off voucher is coming in rather handy, mind you. Knocks a good £5/6 off the bill.

I really can't stand Pizza Hut. Just as a comparison, Domino's pizza boxes are dry underneath. Pizza Hut is practically soaking wet with oil & grease. It's cheap, frozen gooseberry fool. I'd rather have a Goodfellas. Plus Pizza Hut failed the local heath & safety checks, receiving a useless 1 out of 5 stars. Domino's got 4.

That's what I assumed, but first you turn your delicate 'upper-class' nose up at perfectly good pizza and then, as if that wasn't bad enough, you condone slavery in a disturbingly offhand manner! You sicken me.

Large Domino's Meateor with Garic Bread Pizza and extra herb sauce is made of win (only £8.99 if I collect from the one over the road).

Nice.

I was really disappointed when Domino's stopped the Steak pizza. Lasted all of a month.

It should be on the menu all year round!

Oh come on, that was uncalled for. I would never turn my nose up at freezer pizza, because I don't hate them :|

o/

Domino's are brilliant. Tuna and black olives or just the meat feast one. Only problem is the price is insane. £14 for a pizza!? Pizza is a peasant meal created because it was so cheap. I only buy when I have 50% off vouchers.

Sometimes I get my Italian nona to make me pizza from scratch. She doesn't do it much anymore because she complains the ingredients aren't as good as they used to be.

Only time I've made my own from scratch was when I worked in a takeaway. Industrial style.
