PostPlasma TV & Wii games = eye cancer.

So I picked up a Wii today along with New Super Mario Bros Wii, and it looks awful on my 42" Panasonic plasma. I know HD games on the 360 and PS3 has spoiled me a bit, but the picture on this is just no good. Can anyone give me any tips on how to fine tune an HDTV so it looks a little better when playing the Wii?

I'm guessing you have a component cable?

If that's the cable that came with the Wii then yes.

Then no. You NEED a component cable otherwise its absolute garbage on big screens. This is what you need;

Infact, I'm selling my Wii so if you like you can buy my cable for £10 inc P&P (normally retail for £18)

Make sure you get the official component cable as the quality of third party ones is pretty shoddy and that matters a lot with analogue signals.

Also make sure you change your output settings to 480p.

Do all this and it will still look bad, just not quite as bad as it does now :lol:

It's all about the gameplay not the graphics. ;)

Haha, true. The jaggies will still be there, although the fuzziness will be gone. Some games will cope better than others. Just been playing HotD Overkill and it looks pretty good actually. Chunky and arcadey.

I have the official component cable and a 42" Panny, it looks pretty smooth, perfectly acceptable anyways.

I have the emulator, but I get severe framerate problems with it.
