Yes! I'd wondered if there would be an Unawakening II... and now we're gonna see Resonant Tale appearing as a Playdate exclusive!

It really does look intriguing. Congratulations on the game release, Orange, and bravo to Jezo for vid production, too.

Why not check out the full Playdate Community Direct? It's packed with new games coming soon to the wee yellow system.

Orange's Resonant Tale features at 39:50!

It's already done! Pending a final build and any final bugs I might find (of course I'm 100% confident there are no bugs at this point ;) ). I've submitted it to the official store as I'd like to release it day one on there if I can alongside releasing on itch.

Big shout out to our very own Jezo who put together the trailer, he did a far better job than I ever could

I haven't announced a release date yet but when it's out I'll hook up anyone here who wants one with a promo code and instructions on how to play it through the Playdate Simulator on PC :)

This is excellent work. Well done.

I haven't progressed in quite a while I'm afraid. Work, family and other hobbies getting in the way.

I got my game engine working pretty well, and then discovered I'm not very skilled at designing levels. I've never been one for Super Mario Maker or the likes. So I was struggling to make it "fun".

I hope to get back into programming at some point though. Might start something fresh, if/when inspiration hits me.

Fair enough! Level design is a completely different job and skillset to writing an engine so I wouldn't be too disheartened. Maybe you could experiment with procgen or even making a level editor like Super Mario Maker to keep to the areas you find more enjoyable!

I was very glad to find someone to collaborate with on music and sound, I tried and failed pretty convincingly at doing any myself.

It's very cool! That's actually a repeat (it's a livestreamed rewatch) of the aftershow from last year's community awards. I didn't catch much of it at the time as it was at 2am in the morning or something like that.

I love this! It sounds great and the ability to adjust the intensity using the crank is so cool :-).

As a treat for myself after a bit of a shitty time recently, I've placed an order for one of a Playdate. I won't get it for a few months, but I really like the quirkiness of it.

In the last few days Panic have finally caught up with pre-orders and Playdates are now shipping to order! It's been a long time coming with various supply issues, but cool to see the milestone reached at last. Hopefully it means another uptick in interest now people can order knowing it will ship right away, rather than having to wait.

Oh! And I just discovered that there is a Playdate Community Wiki now available - click. It looks to be packed with info about the tiny yellow console.

Edit: Link also added to the opening post.
