Starting later today, anyone who owns PUBG on Xbox One can download the Miramar test server (called “PUBG Test Server”), directly from the Microsoft Store.

As the map is in an early stage of development, some aspects may not function as expected. For matchmaking reasons, the test will be limited to TPP on NA servers. We might make adjustments to this depending on how the test goes.

During the test period and beyond, we will be actively listening to player feedback and using it to improve the build, so please be sure and share your comments, questions, and concerns in the thread below! There will also be “bug bounty” rewards: 150 players who help us find bugs will get some swaggy in-game items.

Test Server Downloadable Starting:

April 24th, 12am, your local timezone.

4/28 & 4/29: Servers available 8pm CEST through 8am CEST

Servers can go down for maintenance at any time. If that happens, check our help Twitter or this post for info. We’ll update this thread with more information on future testing windows as they become available.

Usually it's me getting capped when jumping to a busy town at the start. Not today :datass:

And a nice long range kill with an AKM and 4x scope.

No idea how you killed that guy with the AKM, the kick back is insane.

We also had a race to a point we picked inside the circle, 3 of us in 1 jeep v 1.

Seems to Run as well as Erangel.

EDIT: Streamers are playing it now on Mixer - it's up till 4pm today.

Opinion seems to be it's running better than base game.

Played lots of Miramar last night and yeah, while I'm happy its coming for map rotation, it's clearly not as good as Erangal. That all said, the performance is vastly improved. On my X1X it was a locked 30fps from plane jump to landing. It was the same as Fortnite pre 60fps patch.

The major problem with the PTS version is the fact that it's locked to NA server. While it wasn't laggy, causing damage to enemies simply didn't register for them. We're becoming a well oiled machine now in PUBG, we regularly get into the final circle and have 25 chicken dinners yet we lost every single fire fight on Miramar, hopefully the EU servers will open up for weekend. I've played PUBG on Xbox for over 12 days according to the stats. :lol:

Probably my GOTY to be honest. (I'm aware it launched late december last year)

Chicken Dinner on Miramar GET!

I have to say, the test on Miramar is VERY impressive, it's not 60fps but it's a near perfect and locked 30 which makes it smooth AF compared to Vanilla PUBG on Xbox.

Obligatory Car explosion, mate got 4 kills, whole squad deaded.

Got a weird chicken dinner on Miramar earlier, 3 from our 4 man squad alive in the tiny safezone with 1 other squad or 2 and 1 of theirs gets killed and we struggle looking for the last guy and then bam I'm dead and the game ends with us getting rank 1/chicken dinner :slol:

And this was the only kill I got..

Since we recently verified some optimization and performance improvements on the recently launched on the Test Server, we’re now ready to bring these over to the live server.

PATCH TIMING:

May 2, 1am PDT / May 2, 10am CEST / May 2, 5pm KST

PATCH CONTENT:

These optimization and performance improvements have been proven to be effective on the PUBG test server, so we’re bringing them over to live servers now.

The free-fall and parachuting process has been optimized, leading to performance improvements during the initial stages of each game.

World loading has been optimized. “Play-doh” and interior prop pop-in effects have been improved.

Movement data for nearby but out-of-sight players is now handled in a more efficient manner, resulting in general performance improvements.

Similarly, when nearby but out-of-sight players equip or unequip items, this process is handled in a more efficient manner. This helps with performance and crashes throughout the game.

The inventory has been optimized, improving response time when opening it and solving some crashing issues.

Uninhabited boats and vehicles were causing some performance issues, and we’ve resolved this issue.

KNOWN ISSUE:

After long play sessions (three or more hours) on the standard Xbox One and the Xbox One S, the game sometimes crashes. This has been a problem for some time, and we hope to solve it soon. In the meantime, there’s a simple workaround you can use. Simply restart the app every couple of hours if you plan on playing a longer play session.

So, yeah on Xbox One X now this runs perfectly, was in a ton of gun fights, won a chicken dinner and the frame rate never wavered, 2 of my mates are on OG Xbox One's and they said the same.

Somehow forgot about the drainage channels on map and coasted over first one, then tried to avoid second one too late and turned car over, I'm driving, mate in the back recorded it! :lol:

Nope, locked 30fps. Not sure if it will ever get there on Console tbh.

You never know though, it's had 13 patches in 5months, if it's not out for a few more months it could get there, not sure how though. The Test Server is up and running well. It plays great though, I'd prefer 60fps but with a controller 30 is fine, especially as 99% of everyone else is on X1 pad and 30fps, (I heard of some mouse and keyboard bastards about tho). I mean it's the same frame rate as The Division, Destiny and Ghost Recon on console.

I think the frame rate will shock you but with a controller it aint too shabby. It's native 4K though so should look well good on your 4K TV for casual chicken dinners.
