I've heard people disliking Mirimar but I'm getting a little bored of Erangel so would like it be in the rotation to change it up.

Everyone was excited for the desert, but now given the choice most would turn it off and stay with just the island

It is annoying, as it probably only needs a bit of tuning, they had one pass adding more road, a sensible idea, but it was not enough. I think they need to increase the vehicle spawn, and improve the broncos stability, and the vans uphill speed. Even then it may not be enough due to the player base being so trained on the staying away from the edges of the map

Oh I don't know, had a few games recently were the other squad members parachute out at the edge of the map meaning you have to trek all the way to the other corner and majority of the time they fanny about going in buildings rather than making their way to the safe area.

First kill of the Thursday!

Image

Rest of the squad were dead because they decided to jump out as soon as the option was available. As soon as I had weapons/equipment I just strawberry floated them off and went my own way towards the safe area.

Not played it on the Xbox yet, but I played the mobile version and enjoyed it, has anyone got a controller for their iPhone? If so how well do they work?

Yeah but they are the minority, and for the reasons that you do not want to drop there

Still haven't had a win yet but I just came third. I'd been pinned down but, by distracting my attacker with smoke and frags, I was able to run around and get behind him. He had no idea I was behind him and he was still firing at the spot I'd been hiding at. But I was so scared of strawberry floating up my shot that I didn't shoot him at all. I was hoping the other player would come and attack him for me but eventually he looked around himself and noticed me. I got one shot off before he killed me.

I just get so tense and on edge when it comes down to the top 10. And afterwards it all seems so obvious, "I could've won if I'd done this/that/etc".

I love how he lined himself up perfectly to get shot.

I was playing with mates on Saturday night. In a heated shoot out in the middle of a forest our squad was down to 1 player and he had a ghillie suit on. He lay in the shade of a tree and people where literally walking over him shooting at others. He didn't move once and the circle kept getting smaller and smaller but he was always in it. I was actually in hysterics, he seen entire fights play out all around him and on top of him. Then it was a squad of 4 and him and they took AGES to find him, it was absolutely hilarious.

This is the only game thats forced me to use a headset but even then its a bit useless as no-one hardly calls out locations (Come on, it's so easy to say a strawberry floating number from the compass at the top of the screen if you spot someone..) and every game I had in squads last night resulted in the parachuting out early to the likes of military bases and then dying and me being left to wander the islands to the safe zones alone. That last gif I was scoping out a house that had 2 people in then I hear a bike and car approach while I'm lying by a tree and one from the house spots me and starts firing but the newer groups don't see me but just go for the shooter, tried to kill one of the attackers, which failed after I killed that guy :slol: :x

A headset is a must, especially to pinpoint the location of nearby players. I'm thinking of getting a proper surround sound headset, the pair I have work pretty well though. I can usually tell more or less where I'm being shot from (unless they have a suppressor) or where the footsteps are. In apartment building though I can't really tell if a person is above or below me.

Yeah the number call out is a must. Although if at different angles, a player at say 90 for me could be at 130 for a mate, a lot of times my mate is like "the tree at 90" which means FA to me if 'my 90' is the sea.

I use my headset most of the time and it has surround virtualisation on so good enough for me.

Has this been covered in here, didn't see it? PUBG developers are trying to sue copycats :fp: I really hope their case crashes and burns, otherwise it could have worrying consequences for the industry. If mechanics in games are able to be copyrighted then this could adversely effect the way developers work. Imagine if Wolfenstein tried to sue every FPS that was in development... I'm pretty sure I said that I was surprised wasn't doing anything about Fortnite, but on reflection I was very wrong to suggest they should.

Yeah I've heard about this and it sounds ridiculous. Are they trying to copyright frying pans, for strawberry float sake?

I don't think it'll go anywhere though. It'll be like the time FBE tried to copyright the phrase "Let's Play".

They are suing copycat games on mobile only which have directly ripped it off, look at screenshots and read up on things before the facepalm man. Bluehole worked for 3 years on the game and you think it's ok for literal copycat (your own word) games made simply to capitalize on its success are good for the industry?

Fortnite is a rip off too but it put it's own spin on it, these mobile games were made to look like PUBG on purpose, it's completely different.

The same Company has another game on mobile called FortCraft. I mean, FFS.

I have read up on it, man, they've grumbled about fortnite too. I think the first battle royale mode was on minecraft and even that got the idea from the Japanese film, which hunger games then ripped off, actually the frying pan came from the Japanese film.
My point is that if you start suing for this and succeeding, where will it lead man?

So they should be sued to protect the industry that Sam seems to care so much about.

Don't you? There are military shooters, there are battles royale games, are they all going to start suing each other? I'm not actually suggesting this is going to happen, but I'm not keen on this activity getting a foothold. You just have to do it better than your competitors if you want to make the copycats irrelevant.
