If that was the case it would be out on PS4 on September 4th.

Agreed, the retail box for the XBO version of the complete game (v1.0) coming 4th Sept has "Xbox One launch exclusive" on it.

This has nothing to do with the early access version. Microsoft had this on a few of the indie game trailers at E3.

When questioned, however, Phil Spencer was candid as to what "launch exclusive" actually meant suggesting it was down to the publisher, "launch exclusive" could mean anything from a single day to as much as a year.

The fact that they've used "console launch exclusive" rather than just "exclusive" confirms that it's coming to other consoles at some point.

Lots of games are on Xbox Preview then release when finished on PS4 but MS have bought some sort of exclusivity even after the fact with this (they did help with development too).

Either way, the game has been treading water while Fortnite has come on leaps and bounds in the same amount of time. Will be interesting to see how it's received given how stuff like Rise of the Tomb Raider got strawberry floated over a bit.

I’m not sure what Fortnite has to do with anything, COD sells more than Battlefield but it doesn’t make Battlefield obsolete.

PUBG on Xbox is over 8m strong, in the same time frame as Fortnite it will have 3 maps and 19-20 patches not to mention that another map is set to fall by the years end all with dynamic weather.

The only weird thing is how it will perform on PS4 against FTP H1Z1. I still think it will sell big on PS4, if it’s a year away it might not but for regular players, PUBG is really hard to stop playing and hope it releases on PS4 soon so swathes of new players experience it.

When the full version drops, achievements are back dated to the preview version, I should unlock lots Day one! :o

After release i’ll be all out to bag solo chicken dinner achievement.

I presume this will run 60fps plus on Xbox 2.

EDIT:
PUBG Xbox team are focusing on 30fps across the board then will push for 60 if they can. Also, the 30fps is CPU bound, which could be a problem for base PS4 as it's CPU is clocked lower than X1's. (1.75GHz on Xbox v 1.6GHz on PS4).

Had no idea this was coming to the PS4, genuinely thought this was an X1 exclusive. Been thinking about getting this on PC but lack of match-making would most likely mean getting into this late would be difficult.

Probably still won't end up getting this.

We all use one of the colour blind options (the one that starts with the letter D) and it turns blood purple but friends names are in green. Makes knowing you hit someone really easy.

I got took a shot directly to my forehead, got revived but lost helmet:

Downloaded on my phone and it was really good fun in teams (mainly because I won on my first go). Really tempted to get on the PC, just concerned that the experience will be too different (I e. just dying and no kills).

I'd say until you reach around level 10 for your character your playing against mostly bots which are piss easy on the mobile game. PC/Xbox version doesn't have a single bot and yeah you'll die a lot till you get the hang of it. Same goes for Xbox version, times I can land and get killed within a minute while scrambling round for a weapon and other times I can get 5+ kills and survive till the last 10 players.

I don't think they were bots. Definitely teamed up with a real person, I was in a car and he was on foot. I very much doubt a team game would be made up of bots.

Anyway, downloading PC version as I write.....

Yup, they were bots. Maybe not your teammate but those you killed were.

Downloaded the game, but what are Experimental Server and Test Server for? Not downloaded them but the game doesn't seem to need them.

For when they want to test new features/maps before implementing them into the game. No need to download those.

Had an epic Chicken dinner last night, we lost a guy so it was 3 of us against the remaining squad who where holed up in a single story house, we split up, 2 of us at one end of house, 1 at the other, because we play so regularly together, we co-ordinated an attack in seconds, I jumped through a window into a room with no one in it, mate at the same time through grenade through a window into main area, that forced a guy to run into me where I destroyed him, then immediately his squad mate peaked from across the hall and I downed him too, mate who threw grenade opened front door and downed another then other squad mate took there last standing dude by shooting through a window as he lay prone.

As I said this all happened in about seconds, the squad in the house mustn't have known what hit them. We had been watching from the woods, people running near the house getting gunned down, having a house in final circle of PUBG and not winning it is criminal, made it all the more sweeter.

Oh, btw, PUBG team said they 'miss spoke' 'chievo's won't be back dated. Just means I'll have to win more chicken dinners though.

Not finding this too bad (difficulty wise), as long as I can catch up with team mates. Probably playing at a slight disadvantage with controller over keyboard and mouse, but that is giving me a more enjoyable experience.
