Are squads in the XB1 version? I'd heard they weren't, but not from a super reliable source.

Yep, on launch in NZ it took a couple of hours to add Duo’s then a couple more to add Squads, when I started it last night it had all 3 options and my mates are in a squad right now.

So this is completely unplayable because of the lag.

How is this is still such a common occurrence?

Ooof. Was thinking of buying/trying this until reading this.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit ... erformance

The digital foundry writer on ResetEra also wrote ;
“Another thing worth mentioning - it feels *HORRIBLE* to play on console. Severe input lag, a badly configured deadzone and jittery performance. It is the single worst playing shooter I've experienced on a console in the last decade. The interface and controls are straight awful.

They have so much work to do.”

A shame really. Possibly results of rushing it into EA before Christmas?

Apparently there’s barely any frame rate difference between the S and X as this is largely CPU based, so even adding a dynamic resolution rather than 4K/1080p won’t have much of a performance impact.

A shame. I watched a few streams to see if it was isolated, but doesn’t seem to be. Maybe i’ll reconsider further down the line.

Ah so that's why there was zero official footage of it before launch.

All those people on Twitter whinging at them, yet all they said is don’t buy it “yet”.

EDIT: Just read MS didn’t put up the compulsory 1 hour trial for game preview programme games either? Seems really underhanded and I hope they get lots of stick from Jim Sterling et al for it if true.

It’s very janky alright. If Drake rate was smooth met it’d be great, hopefully in time.

Servers probably would have been absolutely hammered if they did that I think.

Regarding frame rate, Microsoft (and Sony) strawberry floated themselves over a bit using such weak CPUs.

After the initial excitement I must say I can’t recommend it. I mean it looks the part but the combat is comprimised. It’s in Preview and I have high hopes it’s get better fast.

PUBG? Completed it mate 8-)

Sixth or seventh game ever I think. Watching hours and hours of people playing it helps apparently

Yeah this. After getting into a couple of games that were playable the exploration and scavaging stuff is great but the actual combat and general jank is shocking.the cross hair seems to have no bearing on where bullets go.

You'd get faster smooth-met drakes on the PS4 Pro.

Yeah, cos looting is 90% of it and that part works pretty well but the more I played the more combat I got into and despite some great things like draw distance and vehicles handling well, when it comes to shooting anyone the framerate is a huge issue.

No Chicken Dinner yet but got 3rd & 6th in solo. The constant tension is unlike anything I've played before. Performance on the ground is fine. Still getting used to the various weapons & attachments.
