Don’t you think it’s the least bit funny? This was supposed to be one of the “big” games and was supposed to sell Xbox one X’s. Especially when they were shouting just last week that it was 60fps.

It’s funny because it all seems a bit anti consumer, and I do find that kind of industry bullshit hilarious when it goes wrong.

Not really. It's been said on here the game runs terribly even on PC's with much much more powerful cpu's than the one in the OX and for a game that uses it as much as it does it really didn't surprise me it runs like crap on console.
I can agree the hype was totally out of control though as they must have known for ages it runs like gooseberry fool.

Maf's point is the big game that was supposed to sell the One X shouldn't run like crap.

Again, no mention of this just being a preview.

Oh no a hyped game turns out to be a bit gooseberry fool that's never happened before.
I also have a feeling that not many people bought an OX just for this game. I know I didn't any more than I bought a Pro for any single playstation game.

Again Nick, click the link in the tweet which shows clearly its in the preview program with the disclaimer I quoted before. One tweet not mentioning it doesn't disprove that when you go to download the thing it's clear that it's preview code not to mention that the official PUBG, PlayerUnkown himself and Major Nelson mention it being in preview in their tweets. Even the box art says it, personally it shouldn't have been released boxed tbh.

You really need to stop doing this man it's highly annoying that you never seem to look into anything you link, video's articles etc.

I don't mind you trolling if you actually know what your'e talking about but if you want to troll, do it properly unless you do look into stuff then deliberately talk mentalisms. I guess you could be trollling within a troll, a Trolling inception if you will.

It won award for PC version and is now on console. The Troll inception is real or you're an actual idiot.

Pretty sure it's not finished on PC either.

Just like on PC though it's most stable on indoors sections.

Out of curiosity what are your specs? Still one I'd like to get but just wondering how it'll play on my PC.

I've mostly played it on:

16GB RAM
i5-6600 CPU
GTX 960

But I recently upgraded from the GTX 960 to a 1070, so I can bump up settings a fair bit mercifully; before that I was having to resolution scale 90% for anything resembling consistent performance, which as you can imagine looked pretty nasty.

Haven't had as much experience with the 1070, but I've found that regardless of settings I'll still generally get drops in the same places, unless you have a monster CPU I'm not sure those can be avoided. At the very least, if you have a similarly high card the graphics settings won't be a bottleneck as much as just the unavoidable woes of the game's engine.

Hope that helps :) Might be worth hearing from other folks in the thread with their experiences before making a decision

Near enough the same.

GTX 1060 6GB OC
16GB Ram
i5 6600

£15 or less from CDKeys and I'll snap it up but for now The Division is keeping me busy.

*sigh*

Lets looks at the process of Buying PUBG on Xbox from the windows store.

Xbox.com shows the game with the tag

Xbox Game Preview Available now

Clink link to details and at bottom of next screen:

Game details
From the makers of the best-selling PC phenomenon, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds drops players into a competitive survival battle where you’ll engage in a heart-racing fight to be the last player left alive. Loot supplies, find weapons and gear-up to take on the competition in a solo or team squad match. Emerge the lone survivor in a thrilling game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments.

Game Preview: Game is unfinished and work in progress, may change over time, and may not release as a final product. Game preview information at xbox.com/GamePreview. Xbox Live Gold required to play (sold separately).

It also has right above 'buy' button "game preview edition"

On the final screen before you confirm it shows this:

Image

The 'Preview' on top there will stay on the game and on it's tile on Xbox One until it's actually released.

Now if you are literally too stupid to think it's not preview then I can't help you. Nobody who bought the game didn’t realise it’s in Preview.

I have to admit I'm rather gleefully enjoying this gooseberry fool storm. Purely on the early access basis. A few people (errr Pedz and Jazzem) know I've resisted PUBG because of it. You want to charge me for your unfinished game and still put in microtransactions? Hahaha. Get strawberry floated.

This may make me a dick but I don't care.

:slol:

I'm kind of annoyed by the impressions of this. Really fancied as don't have PC, but may wait a while until stuff has been ironed out a bit.

Is it worth getting if I'm playing by myself?

Definitely, if it gets fixed then I’d recommend it even for solo runs. It’s as tense as fook.

It's Early Access so yeah it's ok. Unless you don't agree with Early Access but this game has sold over 25m copies before release so your Ire should be directed at the creators of PUBG more than anyone else.

Early Access/Preview means it will get better over time. Just like The Long Dark, We Happy Few and countless other games. I don't see why it's a problem to point this out. It literally tells you this when you boot the game up.

On the Store screen for this game it says this:
Game Preview: Game is unfinished and work in progress, may change over time, and may not release as a final product. Game preview information at xbox.com/GamePreview.

To equate this to a finished game is disingenuous, I'm personally waiting for a patch before delving further in but I haven't been burned yet by any Preview game I've bought, every single one has gotten better, some significantly so.

Not really, plenty of games that have been early access have never been finished,
