The guy is really enjoying it despite some performance issues, he also has 300ping so hopefully that's why its a bit iffy. I reckon coming from PC it would be horrible but from fortnite not too bad.

Watched a bit of the stream, really does look nasty graphically :slol:

Just reminds me of DayZ the way they move, except no zombies pelting towards you from everywhere.

I don't know the context of this game (i.e. Saints Row-esque or everyone has, erm, overtly drawn privates), otherwise it just looks like the graphic designer really needs to get out more.

It does look horrendous, draw distance is ok though. Still as I said, it'll be in preview for the next few months so can only improve.

Xbox owners can play it right now it seems.

People are already playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on Xbox One. You can, too.

The worldwide battle royale sensation is not due to launch on Microsoft's console until tomorrow, 12th December. The official UK release time is midnight tonight.

But you can get the game downloading now via buying a key (from somewhere like cdkeys.com, where it costs £22.99). Set your Xbox as your home Xbox, then redeem your code.

PUBG will automatically be added to your download queue (it weighs in at 5.24GB). Once downloaded, you can then boot it and play. Eurogamer has tested the method for ourselves - and it works just fine.

Post mortem of my first game:

I'm aware that most of the issues I had are because I jumped straight in without checking the control scheme. I just wanted a quick taster.

Parachuted towards a small group of houses. Chute auto-opened but descent from there took forever. There must be a way to accelerate.

Nothing in the first house.

Second house - a shotgun! Apparently with 10 shells. I spent the next few minutes trying to figure out how to load it. Failed.

Then Emmerdale started so I quit to lobby.

7/10, would play again.

Lots of unhappy people who bought from cdkeys, were charged, but because the site was overloaded never got their download code. My order stalled, but the code came through after 10 minutes. Seems I was one of the lucky ones.

Pretty good 1st impression, before you land it's bad but once you're on the ground it runs well on OG XB1. Controls easy to get used to.

I was gonna get it with that 5% offer but remembered I've got £15 on a GAME gift card so I'm going to get that "download code in a cardboard box" physical version.
