I’m still playing my games in SD and think that they look pretty enough. Although I’ve never tried them in HD. Apparently the step back from HD to SD is bigger then the step from SD to HD.

Hi - I had a problem with a Toshiba 40" TV - it basically broke 13 months after purchase, so a month outside the warranty from Comet.

I wrote to Toshiba complaining that a £1,000 product had broken in such a short space of time (and enclosing a photo showing the problem), and they provided me with an 'Uplift for Credit' number, basically allowing Comet to send the TV back to Toshiba and get their money back. They did confirm it was irrepairable though. In turn, Comet then provided me a credit note for the full £1,000, as I'd already bought a new Sony Bravia to replace it!!!

Try writing to Sony as someone else said (I wouldn't threaten to sue at the moment - just express your disappointment at an expensive product breaking so early) and see what happens.
