Check this NeoGAF post out for a few of the responses from his audience.

No matter how bad the series has got there's absolutely no need for this.

Usually games people only say this sort of thing in the style of "Looking forward to starting my new job at ________! Wish (previous employer) all the best" or whatever.

So something may have happened.

Possibly. I know on Twitter word count is limited but his words are very matter of fact. "Today, I resign from my position.."

But then IW wished him luck.

strawberry float sake the Tweets get worse - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.ph ... tcount=176

If he posted a message telling them all to go strawberry float themselves I wouldn't blame him. Between this and the kind of things Shopto had to put up with what the strawberry float is wrong with the COD "community"? Why any company would want to chase after and appease arseholes like this is astounding.

Activision should take legal proceedings against every single one of them.

Is it worth having your brand associated with 'that' though (I mean the community not the money grubbing)?

Price of success. The dicks come with the popularity, and you can't do anything to stop them.

Every time I see that picture of the guy, it takes my brain a few seconds to realise that he's not "The Temp" from the Darkplace episode "Hell hath fury".

He was the community manager, so unfortunately part of his job was interacting with idiots like that.
