I restarted the router and that seems to have fixed it.

My PS4 regularly disconnects from my network, whether I'm connected over wireless or ethernet.

It's genuinely the flakiest and least reliable piece of technology I've owned in the last 10 years.

It's amazing how you've had so many problems with your PS4, Jen - anything that could go wrong does seem to have gone wrong! I think it genuinely is just bad luck, though - I've had three different PS4 systems (one of which was a launch day PS4 and is still used by my nephews) and they've all been reliable.

I think that, with any piece of technology, folk can just get a duff one sometimes and that sucks.

Not sure of the best place to post this, but does anyone have any recommendations for good quality replacement sticks for a dualshock? (Just the plastic/rubbery stick, not the actual bit you'd have to solder to the circuitboard). I bought some off ebay probably about a year ago, but they've already split, so obviously the quality wasn't anywhere near as good as the genuine original PS4 sticks... I wasn't sure if there was a better place to look than ebay for replacement parts

Bloody PS4 has just died on me all over again. Completely blank screen again, totally unresponsive.

I swear in the 30+ years of gaming I've had I have never experienced a piece of equipment as strawberry floating fragile and unreliable as this!

Sony is ceasing the movie/TV sale and rental service via the PlayStation Store in August.

It seems that the reason is low sales due to people preferring to use streaming services. Any purchases made can continue to be viewed for the foreseeable future. The purchase and rental functionality will end on 31 August.

That they didn't offer movies and TV programmes in 4K (despite costing the same price as elsewhere, such as iTunes) probably didn't help either.
