To sony's credit they have what seems like a constant roll of sales to bring prices down sporadically, which is pure artificial scarcity but definitely helps.

I agree about the sales - I've picked up a few bargains that way. Thing is, if you miss the current sale window (World of Final Fantasy was in their recent 'Best of Japan' sale, but I hesitated too long and it still only reduced to around £35) you're always going to be better off looking elsewhere for a fair price.

I use PSPrices, a site which you can set up email alerts for when particular things go on sale and you can see their price history too:

Thanks - very useful. Somehow (I can't imagine why) I just never know about this stuff. ;)

New sale starting today with some good reductions. Bioshock Collection looks particularly tempting at £10.50 for PS+ subscribers.

EDIT: I use PSPrices all the time but didn't know they had a price history tracker on each item as well, that's really useful. Looking at Bioshock Collection on PS4, it seems to be reduced pretty much every 2-3 months but today's price is the lowest it's been. Price has been coming down steadily though so maybe it'll hit £9.99 in 2-4 months time.

PS4: What's in the box?

[yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQUpg795iBo[/yt]
The PlayStation 4 will be out this Christmas at a price of $399 / €399 / £349. But what exactly does that get you?

Here's your definitive guide to everything that comes included in the PlayStation 4 box, according to Sony. It's worth noting there's no PlayStation Eye camera included - that's sold separately and will set you back $59 / €49 / £44.

The PlayStation 4
Fairly obviously, the most important thing in your PlayStation 4 box is the console itself. It's packing a 500GB hard drive (though Sony points out that the actual disk space you'll have to play with is less than that because some space will be reserved for system processes). It's got 8GB of GDDR5 memory, an eight-core x86-64 AMD Jaguar CPU, a 1.8 TFLOPS Radeon GPU, two USB 3.0 ports and a six-speed Blu-ray drive.

DualShock 4 controller
You'll get one DualShock 4 controller with the console. As with the DualShock 3, it has a built-in rechargable battery that charges via USB. If you want to buy extra controllers, they'll set you back $59 / €59 / £54 each.

Mono headset
The PlayStation 4 has a strong emphasis on sharing and multiplayer, so this time around the PS4 will come with a headset (something sold separately for PS3), allowing everyone to use voice communication right out of the box.

Cords and cables
Finally, the box comes with three cables. There's your standard AC power cord to power the system, there's an HDMI cable to plug it into your TV, and there's a USB cable, presumably to charge the DualShock 4 controller.
New DUALSHOCK®4 Wireless Controller
The DualShock®4 controller features new innovations to deliver more immersive gaming experiences, including a highly sensitive six-axis sensor as well as a touch pad located on the top of the controller which offers completely new ways to play and interact with games. The new Share button puts video streaming and sharing a tap away.
System Specs
The PS4 system focuses on the gamer, ensuring that the very best games and the most immersive experiences are possible on the platform. The PS4 system enables the greatest game developers in the world to unlock their creativity and push the boundaries of play through a system that is tuned specifically to their needs. The PS4 system is centred around a powerful custom chip that contains eight x86-64 cores and a state of the art 1.84 TFLOPS graphics processor with 8GB of ultra-fast GDDR5 unified system memory, easing game creation and increasing the richness of content achievable on the platform.
