Picked up NHL 17 for £8.99 - HUGE discount off the normal price.

I usually get one NHL game to see me through a whole console generation so this'll do me. Not bothered by yearly updates.

Wish I'd bought that instead of McIlroy Golf :dread:

I even knew it was meant to be guff (going by reviews upon release) but the Everybody's Golf BETA had just ended and I needed a fix and... I was weak. The fact I felt buyer's remorse after spending <£4 says it all.

I'm not very familiar with golf games, but I picked it up for the £3.49 or whatever it was a week or so ago and I've been enjoying it. Any particular reason it's not well regarded?

I think the character generation screen didn't give you particularly realistic looking golfers.

I bought it a few weeks ago at £19.99 and it certainly can't be accused of being light on content at that price so you've definitely got a bargain.

That said, I find it incredibly difficult to score. Or defend. Or even understand the rules. It could do with hand holding you a lot more as I keep getting 'icing' fouls but have no idea why.

Icing happens when the puck crosses both the centre red line and the red line where the goal is without a player touching it. Basically, don't belt the puck right up the ice.

Do you feel that you need more bling in your life? Maybe you want things to be a little shinier? Well, Sony has you covered with gold and silver consoles launching on 28 June.

The silver looks nice. The gold, not so much.

I'm probably (unfairly) ragging on it because it's not as smooth, colourful an experience as Everybody's Golf. But I think it got criticised in reviews for being lite on features/courses.

The digital sale has prompted me (finally) to buy Hyper Light drifter and Hotline Miami 2. Crazy, really, given the HLD was one of my most-wanted games for ages when it was announced, and Hotline Miami was one of my favourite games of the past five years or so (and I still listen to the soundtrack at least once a fortnight).

I also bought Monopoly because I think that might tempt the other half to play games. She really has no interest otherwise.

Will Sony at all mention PS5 at this years E3?
I hope they don't having just bought a Pro and I think waiting until Q4 2019 to release will give them time to get hardware that's a big enough leap over the Scorpio to be an actual generation jump. I could be wrong though and they could steal the idea of announcing at E3 for release next Christmas but I think that would be a mistake as Pro owners won't be happy to have a replacement announced only 6 months after they bought new hardware.

I sincerely hope not.

Exactly, man - the Pro is only seven months old. I want Sony to do a far better job of promoting Pro game enhancements / features before they start talking about a new machine.

I do however hope they mention a Vita 2 for release next Christmas as I think a device with similar dimensions can get shockingly close in power to the base PS4. Have it just focus on 1080p HDR output and you have a pretty sweet handheld and maybe just maybe they can make all PS4 games available for it if it's close enough in power.
I think it's technically possible as the Vita has quite a lot of internal space and even if they have to make it a few mm fatter I feel it would still be acceptable.

Sorry guys but I hope PS5 gets mentioned at E3 or PS Ex, with the console releasing in 2019. Not the end of the world of the world if none of those happens this year but I wouldn't mind if they did. New tech lights my fire.
