Yep.

I'm making really heavy work of Uncharted 4. Last 'big' game I played extensively was Destiny, and that's nearly three years old now.

I played Watch Dogs 1 for a bit but didn't really get into it, but would like to finish it before playing #2 as it's currently sealed up still. Instead I've found myself playing PS3 games on the other console more, very frustrated that I can't play my PS3 collection on the Playstation 4. (Like the MGS collection  )

I have invested some time in a free to play 3v3 Basketball game I got off the store, that was quite fun to dive into. I picked up MGS V (after hating the game and finishing it onthe PS3 but was sold on the graphics and have played a few hours and quite enjoying it, but again it's quite a long winded game to play), WWE 2K17 which again isn't capturing my interest, and BattleFront.

I dont' know what the purpose of this post is other than making me realize I'm growing up, acting like I'm 40 odd (no offence implied to anyone :P ) and I now have a PS4. :slol:

If you are only going through the motions with the first game then do yourself a favour and start on WD2. (:P Y'know, when you feel like you have a moment to spare.) It's not a direct continuation of 1 and also a great game.

Think I will :)

Moggy I've heard good things about the fun to be had on rocket league will check that out too

You have to now go through +1 screen to get your favourite apps (as opposed to just pressing down on the d-pad, but I think the wait between how it was and currently is works out about the same), and there's a gooseberry fool tonne of "featured" content. (I.e. advertising.) The advertising wouldn't have been so bad if some the rows featured content from whatever your most used apps happen to be, but they all just seem like paid for rows of advertising.

Why is the Dualshock battery so terrible?

Maybe I've just been spoilt by the battery life on the Switch Pro Controller, but it seems worse than the old 360 pads. :?

The consensus on shitty battery life seems to be that the LED on the DS4 is to blame. You can increase battery life a little by choosing to set it to its least luminous setting.
You can help things further by not letting the battery drain anywhere near to its lowest before charging it. (I did that for a good few months and now my DS4 will lose close to a full charge after a day's worth of sessions. I have no idea why I don't just use one of my 3 back up DS4s...)

Did anyone go for the Free Battlefront if you sign up to PS+ offer last month? I picked up a subscription last week, but I still haven't seen any email with a code, and I'm getting slightly paranoid that for some reason emails from Sony just aren't getting through, considering I also haven't had a code for the Horizon Platinum reward... :dread: Don't want to have spent £40 on plus for no reason (as it's £35 from CDkeys...)!

I've been checking out the 70% off psn sale and metro 2033 redux looks interesting. Wondering if its worth getting?

There seems to be a few different up, can't figure out which one to get if it comes recommended.

Metro 2033 is a fantastic game, it's very much worth a look.

I love how that section now has a tiny row for apps AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS GIANT ADVERTS FOR SOMETHING I DON'T USE

Does it actually make that much difference to you? One of the row of adverts is for iPlayer content, its a quick way of getting to some of the most watched content, if its not what you want all you have to do is select either the app you do want off the top row, or scroll along and select All Apps to get back to the page we basically had before.

At worst you have to press a couple of buttons extra, at best you get to content quicker. Its not that bad.

Does it make a huge difference? Probably not. Could they have made better use of the new lay out? Absolutely*. Instead of using the new rows to advertise Sky Atlantic, iPlayer, YouTube and their own video store content, they should have instead filled said rows with content from the user's most used apps. At worst it should be 1 row of custom content for every row of "featured" content.

*Goes double for PS+ subscribers. Subbing to something but still having to put up with unavoidable ads? FU, Sony. F. U.

My Plus sub runs out soon and I'm probably not going to bother resubscribing again until Monster Hunter. The instant game collection selection is pretty poor on a monthly basis and I could probably count on one hand the games I've had genuine interest in and played for a decent length of time.

Has anyone else been reading about the LA Noire remaster & VR addition? I loved that game when it came out and have it digitally still.

Also side note - I know this isn't a PS3 thread but thought someone might know, I wanted to download my old PS43 games that have only been downloaded the once to my gf PS3 and log in my account to do so. When I log in all of my old games aren't on there in my download list. Have I lost them now? Seems a bit gooseberry fool considering some cost a lot at the time :/

Dunno why they're gone but they should still be :? Sounds like you better give Sony a call. Good luck with that.

You might have to set it as your primary PS3? I think the download list/library shown will be your gf's, even though you're logged in to your account. PS be weird.

I didn't think this needed a new topic and as Sony are expected to bring out a next gen machine first I thought this may be an ok place to put this.

I probably would have bought a Pro by now had I managed to come to terms with packaging away my 20th anniversary PS4 with downloaded PSone jingle. It's nostalgia every time I look at it.
