PostRe: PlayStation Classic - 20 pre-loaded games (FFVII, Tekken 3, Wild Arms, RR4, Jumping Fla...) - coming 03/12/2018 (£89

Spending £90 on something I'll only play a handful of times before the novelty wears off just a few weeks before Christmas is daft. That money is going to be spent on more useful things like alcohol and cheese.

I cancelled mine at the weekend, I was waiting for the full game list before making the decision. Then I realised there was nothing that would make it worthwhile. I mean have FFVII on PC, and played a couple of hours, then never went back.

What machine are you talking about here?

The PS Classic, dude. It's still flitting in and out of stock at Amazon; currently it's unavailable. Not bad considering that the complete game list still hasn't been announced.

Because the sites KK mentioned say 'sold' as opposed to 'pre-ordered', I thought the console he was speaking of was already out and so he was writing about something other than PSC.

Cool, dude. The console seems to be continually coming in and out of stock at Amazon; probably as they get advised of further stock numbers, I guess . I'm still on the wall about it... I'm veering towards "nay!" but the game list could change my decision.

Decent Review of the Pound Cable by MJR [Seems PS2 Games Dark and PS1 Vibrant and Colourful].

The pound HDMI cable for dreamcast is really good, I highly recommend these if they're the same thing.

Tomb Raider and Wipeout seem big omissions on first look but not a terrible list.

Blimey, that is a bizarre lineup. It was always going to feature glaring omissions given the lineup's breadth but I never would've guessed oddities like Battle Arena Toshinden, Puzzle Fighter, Persona, Intelligent Qube and Mr Driller would be on there ha.

I dig quite a few of those (played so much Mr Driller over a friend's house and on Dreamcast) but I imagine many won't be happy on them featuring over the system's most obvious titles. Crazy that Jumping Flash ended up being the only 3D platformer

EDIT: The footage seems to show them running at original resolution too which is a shame, was hoping it'd get bumped up a bit. Not sure how feasible that would be on a box of that size granted

Metal Gear and Resident Evil DC :datass:

I was considering cancelling my pre-order but think I'll hang on to it for now.

Already own them digitally but no way of playing them via PS4.

re: Resident Evil DC, smart that they're going for that one over the Dualshock version. It's more up to date than the original version (ie it has autoaim) while still having the original soundtrack

Which (sadly, in a way) means it doesn't have this '''beauty''':

EDIT: The Japanese list of games has been revealed by the way, like the NES+SNES Classics there's crossover but also exclusives:

Western Exclusives:
Cool Boarders 2
Destruction Derby
Grand Theft Auto
Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee®
Rayman
Syphon Filter
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
Twisted Metal

Japanese Exclusives:
Arc the Lad
Arc the Lad 2
Armored Core
G Darius
Gradius Gaiden
SaGa Frontier
Parasite Eve
XI [sái] (Devil Dice)

I actually prefer the Japanese lineup quite a bit, the SHMUPs alone =O

The lack of a Tomb Raider and a Gran Turismo are the glaring omissions, I guess they couldn't get the licenses?

No Spurs, Crash, Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo, Wipeout, Silent Hill, Tony Hawk etc. Some really bizarre omissions.

Hopefully it can be hacked and has storage space for some extra games.

My guess would be licencing issued surrounding music on Wipeout and Tony Hawk's, cars on Gran Turismo. They couldn't get the Crash licence becasue of the HD remake and some middle manager mentioned that it might eat into their sales. Silent Hill because it's a horror game. No idea on Tomb Raider - maybe they don't want to damage the new image they're spent the last 5 years building up.

I've never had to pay import tax after the event on my orders from Limited Run Games, so would presume they'll sort it all out with this as well. Like Ad I ordered my Dreamcast cable through Amazon and they sorted it prior to delivery. Otherwise it's a £8 handling fee on top of whatever the import tax is if delivered by Royal Mail.
