For that added authenticity, it'll be extra hackable straight out of the box.

The only downside is going to be getting hold of the thing at launch because of scalpers.

Do I have to turn it upside down for it to work?

I really don't think it does.

I won't be getting this because just like the mini NES and SNES no doubt they'll be hard to get hands on one.

How is NES/SNES Classic Mini availability now?

Can you just walking into GAME and grab one?

Surprised to see SNES classic mini sold over 5m in less than a year, this is the second best selling home console of all time so nostalgia is huge, providing they can meet demand and they have the RIGHT games this will fly off the shelves.

The VAST majority of the 102m PS1 owners at the time had the config that Sony are trying to replicate here though.

As for the polygon warping issue, judging by this RR4 screenshot it's still present.

PS1 had some stunning looking racers back in the day, GT2, Porsche Challenge, Rapid Racer and Toca World Touring Cars all looked fantastic.

Ah cool, for 8 months on the market this is pretty impressive

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/0 ... _worldwide

I feel like, especially with the lack of BC, Sony were forgetting their roots, PS1 was such a cultural phenomenon in the 90s and without it gaming could still be a kiddy/geeky/niche hobby rather than the (larger than the music/movie) industry it is today.

Nostalgia for it is huge.

£89.99

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1

UK/EU box has the yellow side as per the original here

No doubt there'll be screenshots of all the games along the top of the box like the original too.

Given that it's got an 18 rating I think at least one Resident Evil is a safe assumption.

I think they're easy to come by online. I don't think you can walk in to any old GAME and buy one though.

Edit: Seems I may be wrong, going by Laga's above post.

Not really interested in this. I’m willing to bet I already have most of the games that will be on it on my PS3 hard drive.

That being said a copy of Wild Arms can cost over £40 so this does look pretty good value in that respect.

I do not have quite the level of nostalgia for this as I did the Nintendos.
Not sure what games would make me get involved FFVII and Tekken 3 sure I loved, but it was a lot of PES and other sports games I played in those days, and I have no real need to play those again. Silent Hill perhaps

I wonder if they'll bother with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro with the collections being out.
