Twisted metal world tour was amazing in split screen.

Honestly, you could be arguing what to include all day long. I'm guessing Sony came up with a list and then set about seeing what they could and couldn't get hold of.

Really need that hack.

How was it done for the NES Classic? What interface was used? How much additional storage was there?

There was plenty of extra storage on the NES/SNES classics but that's because the games themselves are tiny and getting smaller storage than they put in it probably would've actually cost more because of the lack of demand for storage that small.

With SNES games you're talking a few MB on size per game.
For PS1 games you're talking more 300-700MB per disc, with some games requiring multiple discs. FF7 alone is going to clock in at somewhere between 1.5-2GB.
They might go with 32GB of storage, in which case there'll be little to nothing left for additional games, but if they have several multi disc games that might not be enough.
If they go with 64GB of storage though there should be room for another 10-20 games.

Is there a possibility they could be run through the USB port somehow?

Twisted Metal: World Tour was brilliant! The series did take a bit of a dive after that, though.

Yeah it seems to resonate with them the same way Wipeout resonates with us.

The N64 was pretty big there too where as here it was a relative flop.

If VG Chartz is loosely to be believed, it shipped 2.1 million in the USA, and just 250,000 throughout the whole of Europe. So unpopular was it that Twisted Metal 3 and 4 then weren’t even released in the U.K.

OPM gave it 9/10, but it played 3rd fiddle that month to Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and the disappointment that was cover game Monster Trucks.

Twisted Metal 2 and Twisted Metal Black (PS2) were amazing, don't think I even played the rest but they didn't review well.

Well it's possible to expand storage via the USB with both the NES and SNES classics I think, so there's certainly a chance of it being possible here too. It's all dependent on the hardware and software though.

It's impossible to know for sure until the thing is out and in people's hands.

We already knew this, hence the discussion about ROMs and hacks on the previous page.

Also, The Express forgot to put "GAMES SHOCK" in their headline this time.

I remember my parents buying me the PSP Twisted Metal from America when they couldn't get the game I requested.

It was fine. Played for a few hours, never touched it again.

Well maybe if Lady Diana was still alive it may have been an entirely different story altogether.

(and perhaps I should've read the last few pages  )

At what point do you think Sony will need the games list locked down? Factor in production, testing...it must be pretty close already.

It probably already is.

They'll trickle feed the game announcements to generate buzz.

Seeing that 3 of the 5 are Final Fantasy VIII, Tekken 3 and Ridge Racer 4, they're going the right way about selecting the best/most important games.

Jumping Flash is still an odd one, apparently very popular in Japan though.

Of all the launch window games, the only one that I would have chosen least aside from Jumping Flash would have been Cyber Sled.

That Namco feature already, maybe there's a good shout of Mr Driller, Ace Combat and Klonoa appearing too. Smash Court Tennis would be great (and it does feature on the PlayStation Store in Japan) but they slapped Anna Kournikova on it over here. Wonder how much she would want to relicense her name these days...

Wild Arms is an interesting choice, I mean I had it back in the day and it's a nice little JRPG in the SNES style but it's hardly a blockbuster.

Also the 3D battle graphics were dated even on release so it'll look strawberry floating terrible now!

I've got the PowerStation magazine guide to Wild Arms should anyone require it closer to the time.

SoulBlade is the only other Namco game I'd put on the list.

Time Crisis is fondly remembered but terrible without the gun, Ace Combat 3 is also great, but not as popular as SoulBlade was.

Loads of sites and YouTuber's demanding FF VIII, FF IX and FF Tactics... one game per franchise guys.

Next big event on the games calendar appears to be...Paris Games Week (26–30 October)? Could hear the rest of the games announced then.
