Still got this. Happy memories. Still love the aesthetic and the central concept.

(Not sure who wrote this article though.)

I also loved the game even if the visuals had more jaggies than a very jaggy thing. I still have the demo disk that Game was giving away pre-release :D

Looks swish on Dolphin. Those minimalistic visuals have aged surprisingly gracefully.

I think you either gelled with what it was about or you didn't. Personally I thought it was terrific and stylish. A kind of modern day space invaders in many ways.

I have both the demo disc and the full game somewhere. Hated the blasted thing though.

I hated P.N.03.

There, it's out there. It's the only Mikami directed or produced title that I don't absolutely adore. Because I hate it. Vanessa's a really nice character, but the article details pretty wholly why I couldn't enjoy it. The concept of a tightly armoured, balletic figure dancing with impossible grace around lasers and machines to build up enough confidence to fire missiles from her back spikes is an immediately intriguing one. The game doesn't deliver on that premise at all, though. Because she controls like an awkward hoover.

Stare directly at the sun. Good for you. Vitamin D.

I picked it up for £5 along with Ikaruga from one of those Gamestation bargain bins. Loved racking up high-scores and enjoyed it immensely.

Perhaps if I'd paid full price I'd feel differently.

Same here, I really enjoyed the demo and kinda wish I bought the full game.

I loved the style of this game. But the gameplay was awful. But...

My memory of PN was rent on the morning of release, finished by evening and returned. Pretty much remember nothing of the actual game itself

One of the few big GC games I have yet to buy... that is probably going to change in the next few minutes.

I loved Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe and Resi 4, the other of Capcom's Big Five (which, crucially, failed on the premise that it only actually contain four titles) so it will be interesting to see what I think of this. It got panned on release, though I think that may have been largely because it underwhelmed slightly, and shorn from any expectation, I feel I may get some enjoyment out of it.

If I can handle the controls.

You have to think of it as a cover shooter rather than a 3rd person shooter. So controls a little like EPOCH on iPad if you ever played that.

I never got this in the end because most of the reviews said the controls were absolutely terrible and the game was somewhat dull.

I can't imagine it was particularly great if the only memorable thing about the game is that gif :datass:
