Can confirm that Nintendo doesn't even know its own products and the Go Plus DOES:

Allow you to collect items at pokestops by just pressing the button when it glows blue. It seems that it cycles rainbow if you collect items, but not if your backpack is too full.

Making the only "missing" features the ability to collect pokemon attracted via incense and to catch new pokemon - something I agree with because the Plus only gives you 1 throw of a ball to catch which would be pretty frustrating if you've been looking for a particular mon for ages. You're going to do whatever you can in that case, and using the Plus in this instance would he shooting yourself in the foot, not able to use berries, good throws, curveballs, ultra balls etc

According to the journal I failed to catch a Slowpoke and I haven't even seen one of them before. Not sure if that was because of the capture rare or what.

EDIT: seen people on reddit say the button flashes yellow for Pokemon that you haven't seen or caught yet.

You probably missed that yellow flash then and the slowpoke (slowly) moved on.

The journal thing seems like it now has a good use, I didn't even know about that feature but I can imagine. I was wondering if you caught a lot of mon this way, how would you tell the time apart and when for each mon etc as they otherwise just appear in your list (which I prefer to order by pokedex number).

Also, we figured out the light flashes red once when you drop out of Internet connectivity, just so you know it isn't going to be able to do anything.

It's pretty neat. My partner spent minimal time staring at her screen, I probably spent about 80% more screen time doing the same things. This aspect of the game does my head in a bit.

Yeah. The data must be there. That would be neat.

Eurogamer claims there's "no way to know which pokemon flee" so I stole your tip Mafro and pointed that out.

There is incredible amount of confusion as to how this thing actually works, which is not surprising, seeing as Nintendo have undersold the thing on 2 major features by not knowing they exist. How the hell does that happen.

"oh btw our product doesn't have this usp, oh wait what? It does. Yes it does. Hang on.. Did we R&D and manufacture that?"

Apparently there is a patch incoming to fix minor issues with the go plus. Would be hilarious if they patched out the distance tracking :slol:

I've been able to hatch eggs just by sitting still with the Plus connected because of how spotty the GPS in the game is :lol:

Had a walk around Santa Monica pier and Venice pier these places are crazy for Pokémon caught a few new Pokémon which was nice but you could level up very easy with a lucky egg on if you spent a few hours around that area.

btw the Plus is back up for preorder on the Nintendo Store but the delivery date is by the end of next month.

Caught a Hitmonchan with mine today, haven't seen that one yet so that was nice. I wish I had this thing when I was through in Edinburgh for the festival last month since there's Pokestops all over the place.

Oh and more zubats and Drowzys.... Because no one ever wanted more of those two

I hatch eggs sitting at my desk. Normally get 1 to 2 k by logging in every 20 mins or so.

Wish mine would work while sitting on my ass still :slol:

It's also infuriating now that you can't leave it on whilst driving and hatch eggs that way.... not to mention I can't play this anymore off wifi - phone has to be on GPS setting, meaning in my case I have to pay to play it.

Some shite changes that really mean that I rarely play it anymore.....

Might nip on over Halloween though in the hope of catching loadsa gastlys...!
