The Pokemon Go phenomenon has started to dissipate, as the augmented-reality game has already lost more than 15 million daily users since this time last month, according to graphs from Axiom Capital Management that were published by Bloomberg. The chart only goes until August 18, so the number of daily active users could be even lower now.

Not really all that surprising. The lack of real end-game, the massive drop into grind town beyond level 20 or so, the relative lack of ability to really go after missing 'mon, inability to trade or 1v1, and everything becoming a crapshoot - it was never going to be a long lasting fad.

I definitely reckon that had trading been a core feature, and an ability to battle mates, then it could have had a much longer shelf life. Bolting it on now would still be fun, and they could probably spike a bit of interest with details on how to acquire Mewtwo etc, but I reckon it'll be largely dead by Christmas.

Yeah I can't see it lasting much longer, not like Ingress has done, there is just nothing to keep it going, at least in Ingress you can take a higher level portal with a bit of luck or it has been worn down by others and stuff. I have uninstalled this now as I have lost all interest in it.

Kids are back at school so that'll have a big affect too.

Looks like many of my mon have good IVs with the new appraisal tool. Definitely won't be sending off the lower levels to the meat mincer anymore.

I've also found that generally speaking, xs and xl pokemon seem to have better stats so there goes that one again.

The reason I am playing less personally is that I don't get out much and I don't want to stare at the screen when I am.

Can't help but feel Nintendo have wasted the opportunity of a Pokemon mobile game.

Future releases wont generate the same buzz level now the fad is passing.

Insert Coin are doing Pokemon stuff now :o http://www.nintendo-insider.com/2016/08 ... ing-range/ They're currently only available in a strawberry floating pop-up shop in London, but they're going up on the site later this year.

That zip-up hoodie looks lovely.

I'll make my own.

I imagine it's bloody hard to get the Pokemon license.

I wish they would let you throw eggs away. I'm fed up from getting 5k eggs nearly every single time. I've only had two 10k eggs and a about ten 2k eggs. :x

Every 5k egg I've hatched has been a strawberry floating Zubat.

I suspect that mon hatched from eggs have better IVs though. Use the Appraisal.

I can't believe Niantic thought it was more worthwhile to include IVs than it was to include trading or player/player battles.
